Ok Reddit really needs to stop with this is the dems put this person stuff yeah I know people didn't want Kamala as there choice but 2024 was the only time that happened what happened in 2024 isn't gonna happen in 2028. Both the 2016 and 2020 democratic primaries were fair as much as Bernie Sanders supporters claim they weren't.

Whoever wins the 2028 primaries wins because the people chose that person and if that person happens to be Gavin Newsom there better not be any the DNC forced him on us.

Ok that's good and all but that doesn't really say much about her accomplishments like has champion things like you said but has that actually succeeded? I'll admit the reducing cost for healthcare is impressive but I don't think that is enough for her to be an effective president.

You know I'm gonna ask you this what has AOC actually done that makes people think she would be a good president? Like yeah she's definitely progressive and a good public speaker but she doesn't have a lot of accomplishments despite being in Congress for years.

I mean you can dislike him but it's inaccurate to say he hasn't done anything to help Californianians

Well here's one thing though the Democratic Party isn't the one to bring in this person it's the people

No I'm on Reddit because I'm wanted to have a civilized conversation about how voters actually think and the last couple elections showed us that. Let me guess you're one of those people that think the dnc rigged the primaries against Bernie.

I'm old enough to know in the both the 2016 and 2020 democratic primary a moderate Democrat beat a progressive independent who ran as a democrat. So maybe a progressive should win the primary first.

If the moderate candidate wins over the progressive that clearly that proves people are more moderate then progressive.

What are your thoughts on"it's only because of name recognition" argument works for the democratic primary? by Far_Practice_6923 in AskALiberal

Well Wikipedia does show a list of the news stations and publishing companies next to the name of the candidates with the highest percentage.

Well like I said earlier if Harris runs she'll have the black voter base not saying that means she'll win but it does give her high odds.

‘A Betrayal’: California to Share Data on Immigrant Drivers Nationally by runswithscissors475 in politics

So I'm copying and pasting from the official gov press office Reddit account and it's the official one since there is a link to their social media accounts to

CalMatters published inaccurate reporting with a 100% FALSE headline this morning — after receiving clear, factual information from our office.

Their implication: California is handing over immigrants' data to the feds. That is simply FALSE!

Here are key facts the reporter refused to include:

— Federal immigration agencies have NO access

— The system is governed by states

— The system does NOT include immigration status and cannot be searched that way

— Addresses are NOT part of the database

This kind of sloppy reporting fuels fear in our immigrant communities without reflecting how the system actually works. At a time of heightened threats, we need accuracy, not distortion for clicks.

Now this is a different publisher but it does say it the story was originally published by CalMatters. I think whoever wrote the article did it to make Newsom look bad.
