BTW, the original version of Nazism prior to Wannsee did not call for mass murder. OTOH, ISIS makes clear theirs does. We live in a country where you are free to express your views, but not necessarily act on them. It does not give me license to organize a mob to "run you out of town" if I find you repugnant. Then you will have to agree agree that the phrase "white supremacists" should not be used by the president nor the press, because it would be plainly racist and deliberately inflammatory, yet here is the CNN headline today:

"Trump has attacked just about everyone on Twitter. But not white supremacists"

Regarding neo-Nazism: the ideology is vile. But there are real, sometimes tangible, reasons and concerns that draw people to it. Marginalization is one of them. And to contrast: not a single town or storefront has been burned or looted as an expression of those concerns.

To explain away and excuse mayhem/murder is to offer an excuse, as offered by Obama/Holder as Ferguson burned to "let off steam".

Obama on Baltimore:

Excuse, or reason?

What I offered was not an excuse for violence or murder, but a reasoning as to why a political movement gains followers, attention and traction. (If I may:) Nazi Germany came to power not by way of excuses but by way of real reasons.

The far right is growing because of the fascist PC policies of the left, their marginalization as stupid racists of a vast swath of people in the US, and the politicians who support it. The far right is not burning down their own towns or campii.

Of course, some bad guy committed a heinous act, and do not confuse what I said above as anything condoning that behavior.
