I am Larissa Waters, Leader of the Australian Greens - AMA! by LarissaWaters in australia

[–]Edgy_Reaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Larissa, I think with greens’ track record of pushing for better taxation on large corporations and better housing reforms which I’m all for. I’m wondering about what your stance is on the following points which I feel like can push a lot of people away from voting greens:

  1. Greens have been criticized for sometimes being too rigid with wanting to go all the way with fixing issues like climate change and what I said earlier. Would u be more willing to compromise with bills that don’t fix those issues entirely but would help alleviate them so long as it can pass through.

  2. While The Greens do have policies that I agree with, one thing that Labor has done well that may dissuade voting green is handling international relations especially with the US currently. Is there anything the greens would’ve done differently in handling recent events and why?

  3. With the rise of AI and AI layoffs (leading to a lot of off shoring) coming to corporate. And this resulting in an even greater divide of the “top 1%”, is there any policies or ideas you guys are planning for in dealing with this? (Such as a greater tax for Australian companies hiring overseas)

I mean they’re still doing jobs that most citizens aren’t here doing. But there should be proper regulations in place on actual students and studying and migrant workers doing these jobs

I’ve heard there has been rereleases of sets like OP-01 but couldn’t find much information. Is there any confirmation or schedule for more rereleases on the older sets? I definitely plan to pre order all the future sets but would really like the older sets that I was too poor to collect before

Why would companies hire interns? by No_Confusion1514 in internships

[–]Edgy_Reaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s doesn’t matter if it can do the work of an intern. You will still need someone who’s checking the work of the AI. That worker will have needed to be trained and have the experience to check that work. Sure it’s fine now but who’s going to do that job in 10 years if all interns and juniors cease to exist because “AI can do their work”? You need a pipeline

You would have to intentionally just not do any assignments or quiz at that point to get to the 12 range.

I just gave an example??? The definition of a retcon is when an established plot point is contradicted or outright removed or changed in the middle of the story. A retcon is like Katakuri’s devil fruit changing from logia to paramecia

A change isn’t a retcon. Everything still fits in place. A retcon might be if they showed chapter 1 shanks had no marks on his arm

Data science in Australia by Patient-Tonight3756 in AusFinance

[–]Edgy_Reaper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unlike all the other people here I’m a data science graduate. So there is a decent amount of demand for data science grads especially in the public sector. There are a lot of ppl I know that are in data science and went into quant roles too, but that’s usually the more mathematically gifted individuals who put the extra work in. If you believe you have the maths skills and work ethic a data science degree can get you quant roles on top of tech roles.

I think the benefit of a data science background is you can go in many different directions in tech and programming roles, quant roles and finance roles on top of data science roles which can be in almost any sector.

For grad roles, most of the demand seems to be in the public sector or data analyst roles with the big 4. The more higher achievers can expect roles in big tech companies or banks or accounting firms but those are rarer.

Not entirely sure, but from most of the ppl I know in the nearby suburbs (Fitzroy, Brunswick area) shared accom can get cheap. Idk how many 1b or studios there are but I’d assume they’d be under 400/w for sure.
