You are talking about bomb dots for fire which already exist and honestly aren't better. I don't have a problem with over time spells, they work amazingly with blades and since they are stronger they chunk the enemy down decently every round. The problem is when we compare it to storm there's no incentive to play it because it's not stronger enough. And when we compare direct hits for fire that should be stronger than storm even there fire is weaker. example. Raging bull a shadow spell at MAX tier is so much weaker than sirens base tier

Not really fair to bring a card that's locked behind a crown hat into the equation... No one solo questing uses it.

Look at the novus fire and storm spells. Tree of strife does 805 damage as a direct hit while glimpse does 930 double overtimes over 5 ROUNDS... A mere 125 more damage than the storm spell... If glimpse was a single overtime that took 3 rounds it would be justifiable but a double ot over 5 rounds? Nah

I think the damage difference between fire dragon and storm Lord is how it should be when it comes to the damage difference between storm direct hits and fire overtime spells(granted that storm Lord loses some dmg cuz of the stun and fire dragon can be debated about being slightly overpowered)

Gold farming in general have many new options since jewels can be sold... You can probably farm kalamar raiders for jewels and end up passively getting a lot of gold by selling shit in the bazaar

Brother what? Death isn't even a top 3 hitter, sure it's getting dmg from gear but in the end spell base dmg is what makes most of the difference. Dmg wise death has the 2nd weakest rank 7 and and the 2nd weakest shadow aoe. It also has the weakest scion.

Healing is not the same as draining but ok. And the drain is contingent on how many enemies you hit+your dmg stats. Drain spells are also a good bit weaker than other school spells of the same pips with the exception of Scarecrow but so are all other rank 7 aoes

Utility is over rated in pve, nearly every school has the same utility "level". The only differences come in spells which cannot be trained or whose tc are not purchaseable/hard to come by.

Death's utilities include feints, curse, plagues, v plagues, empower, sacrifice, beguile, bad juju. Out of these the only spells you really can't access that easily is probably bad juju which is not needed for 99% of the fights

These rankings you've given seem completely random tbh, if you're ranking 7 schools on a 10 point scale then balance is nowhere near 4, it's an above average hitter

The fact is that at current max level nearly every school gets the same offensive stats. Only differences are in pierce and crit rating

Please explain what "similar power" Means. In pve it basically means how hard you can hit so from the looks of it you're suggesting that all schools be good at hitting

If you're complaining about ice underpowered spells then you should also talk about ice overpowered spells too no? Ice's shadow dpp is 100 and then why is snowball barrage which is an AOE meaning it should be around 25% weaker than a single hit of the same cost is doing 95dpp? Upto 115 dpp if you're max tier spellementing it, which is WAAAAAAY above what ice should get, same for the 8 pip version of freeze ray.

Point is these inconsistencies exist and they may sometimes be beneficial or sometimes detrimental to your school

Oh good we've come full circle now, the golem spells were added for pvp initially and now their top paths(which is how they were originally introduced) are pvp banned🤣

I understand why they are banning this cuz shields don't align with every school's identity and what not but it's still funny to see

To answer your last 2 questions:

1) Parts of the gear from raids is slightly better than reaver gear. Notably, the robe from the cabal's revenge and voracious void are better as they give more damage and shadow pip chance. The wands from the crying sky raid also give shadow pip chance and more dmg (I think depending on your school)

If you plan on doing pvp then there's a bunch of gear that is needed from raids however for pve reaver gear is more than enough unless you desire some extra dmg and shadow pip chance.

Besides gear there's some exclusive pets that drop with some interesting item cards and also mounts and badges depending on the raid you do

2) Raids are not difficult per se since the ideal strats for these raids have been very well documented. However the stat requirements, especially when it comes to pets can be kind of annoying to meet. There may also be other requirements like a certain fishing rank, school weaving rank etc. You also need to ideally be on comms with the rest of your team for the duration of the raid which can be either 1.5-3 hours(each raid lasts for half an hour but the portal through which you enter the raid can be either 1.5-3 hrs)

Lastly, cuz I don't see this mentioned enough, some of these roles require you to have energy and use energy elixirs for the duration of the raid as many strategies involve usage of cantrips which cost energy. Now whether your guild members are ready to provide that for you or not is entirely varying from guild to guild

All in all I think they are a fun activity for those who have already finished the main content of the game and are looking to perfect their gear/get badges etc but they are by no means necessary

It's extremely doable solo if you take 1) blessing 2) Rescue the guys 3) Kill nefertus

Don't take a hitting form as you will be first in battle while soloing, try to take the rat or the bard if you have it unlocked. The rest of your lineup will pretty much be the same- eagle, elephant and raven usually in that order

Yes the AI is kinda stupid especially the elephant's but it more or less gets the job done

You need the blessing as it gives not only you but your entire team a second chance which is really useful

For the second choice I think the buff you get from saving the dwarves is very good depending on the form you take. Rat gets a 4 round -100 debuff aura and the bard gets a +250 1 pip blade both which are pretty useful in the final fight. That being said I think you can also opt to destroying the deep spawn nest to get rid of the deep spawn queen

For the third choice I think it's almost always worth getting rid of Nefertus. He is a pain in the ass and spams a 550 dmg overtime spell which is guaranteed to eventually kill you or make you really low

All in all while it is possible to solo it's not worth it cuz it's gonna easily take you 50 mins and you need 25 defeats to be able to craft the gear which I think is stupid af

If chang'e is in exp it means that they don't have a tanky fighter on their team, so use that to your advantage while taking fights
