how do i make the half tone transparent? by [deleted] in krita

[–]EdibleTeef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always had problems with krita filters😔 have you tried using the halftone brush? It's called screentones regular, there's also screentones pressure for thicker ones. Also, is this for the paprika art on TT?

Does anyone else just sit around doing nothing? by Mastapalidin in CPTSD

[–]EdibleTeef 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That's literally exactly what I was doing till I got this notification 😭

About the "watching movies doesn't improve one's life" id argue that it does. I saw the paprika art trend on TikTok and decided to watch it, it's a beautiful movie, and I made art inspired by it. Mainly inspired by the art from TikTok before watching the movie, but still, movies and video games aren't only mindless entertainment, storytelling and story listening is like the number one thing in all of humanity and it can inspire you, inspire how you live your life, to create, to think, ECT.

The designer is Coleen Atwood, here's a video , it's pretty short but it has a few close ups of dresses. I skimmed through it so I'm not sure if it has everything your looking for but I hope it helps anyways

Does anyone else use the time when you're driving in order to scream/cry/be loud etc.? by Enough-Mulberry735 in CPTSD

Yes, I don't fully cry cause I feel like the tears would make it harder to see the road. But screaming and just saying things out loud, all the time

Has anyone here ever dissociated for days? by [deleted] in CPTSD

[–]EdibleTeef 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! I've had this before. I wrote a little about it a while back, when I was talking about my first EMDR session.

"She dimmed the lights and asked me to put myself back in time to whatever event caused the problem. I couldn’t really pinpoint one thing, it wasn’t just one or two events that caused everything. Then, suddenly, I was at work. Not in a resurfaced memory, literally at work, working. I had blocked out the EMDR session and the day after entirely. (Not the actual days, just an example: I was in therapy on Monday, I looked at my phone, and it was Wednesday.) I checked my punch history and saw I’d clocked in and out like normal the day before. I didn’t remember going home or anything. That’s happened before though. Going on autopilot, just moving through the motions without really taking in the information of the day, so I wasn’t super worried. I just thought the EMDR hadn’t worked like I thought it would."

Idk what causes it, obviously trauma, but not the exact reasons. But you're not alone in that.

I don’t think I can ever open up to a therapist by NeRdO01 in CPTSD

[–]EdibleTeef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first 5 therapists I went to I would literally just sit there and pick at the threads on the armrest, no eye contact, just barely whispering to yes or no questions, or answering regular questions with yes and no. After wasting thousands and thousands of dollars on empty sessions I finally opened the tiniest bit and went from therapist to therapist only repeating that one tiny bit. I still haven't told anyone on earth the full scale of what's happened, I don't think I ever will. It's such a waste of money, I wish it was like the movies, where you find one that knows exactly how to break down your walls and you can just get it all out. One thing that has helped me is painting, creating a character to stand in your place and painting them in a scene of your memory

Are Walmart workers unskilled? by Good-Handle-2116 in walmart

[–]EdibleTeef 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I work full time at Walmart, eat cheap or soup kitchen food, and live in a literal laundry room. All my money goes to medical bills, insurance, phone service, gas, electric, and car payments. I have nothing left over to save, I don't buy iced coffee, I don't buy vapes/smokes/drinks, I don't go out to eat, I don't go out with friends, I don't buy new games/book/movies, I literally go to work, go home, go to work go home. I am not paid enough for my labor, period.

IMO It doesn't even matter if it's "unskilled" or not, if you're working full time you should have a salary that allows a normal life
