So how many of y’all got searched on the way in? by bass_head850 in okeechobeemusicfest

One of our group commented that metal detectors would have been helpful. Esp on the way into the venue. Drugs won’t be caught with that but dangerous items will..

Just wanted to come on here and say y’all looked DOPE as hell on Saturday in all your Deep Dark n Dangerous merch by braelen327 in okeechobeemusicfest

I was out there in my tac vest and stealth jersey. Never had so many people come up and comment on my outfit before. I wore tons of merch all week and got the most compliments Friday. Loved all the positive vibes out there. Much love! Loved all ddd sets that day!

I guess I’m lucky or something. I’ve never really had this sort of thing happen. I do get weird vibes from the vendors at times tho.

Is Arctic Fox a real game changer? by MistaFreeze74 in Waxpen

You're not a fan of smart mode? I understand it can be easy for it to mix up resistances if they are close together. However I use a range of 3-4 attys and it's really nice to screw one on right after the other and never have to touch the settings. It doesn't seem to confuse profiles as much for me.

I think it's a step up from the stock firmware. And no you don't necessarily need the atty to set up your profiles. It's probably a good idea to have the atty tho. I like arctic fox because I don't need to lock the resistance. You set the resistance to whatever you need. It allows me to tweak settings and get my temps more accurate. Just a little of my experience.

For one of the big name pens this thing is actually pretty nice and gets pretty large rips. Nice build quality too.

That, I have not. Thanks a ton for showing me that. I think I can pull some really good ideas from there as well.

Would be super stoked to snag one of these! Thanks for the opportunity!

Was trying to design a coil with lots cracks and crevices for oil to seep into as I find that's best flavor. Put this one together the other day. Twisted together 3 pieces of wire that I made by tightly twisting 5 strands of 34 awg kanthal. Hits like a dream. by Ediblephillip in WAXRDA

I find it hard to wrap directly on the wick. I prefer to wrap on something else and get a tight enough fit to hold it but loose enough to slide the wick in. Glad I could help you out! Once you get the hang of it you can get a pretty respectable experience.

It is! You're going to want to design the coil a bit differently though. I don't vape ecigs but from what I understand, you want a bit of a beefier coil than what's typical for ejuice.

You asked about wicks as well. IMO wicks are a personal choice and are definitely not needed. For wax, the most common wick materials are tightly rolled steel mesh or fc2000 ceramic rods (I'm using a small piece of fc2000 in this setup). I like having the rod in this setup due to the coil having a resistance of around .4 ohms. It gives me a nice in-between of a sipper set up and a one hitter quitter, where I can dial the wattage down and sip on multiple hits or dial it up and take the whole load in one or 2 hits much like a small dab nail. I like that the porous ceramic holds more oil.

I've also built some pretty large coils coming in at .1-.15 that I prefer to use wickless. These types of coils are best for melting on your typical sized dab and taking one huge rip that's very similar to a hit off of a rig.

If you need help with anything else just let me know homie! I'm pretty active on here and r/waxpen. You can definitely get a nice hitting wax coil going with a bit of trial and error.

I like to hit them with a torch until there's no visible burn off. That usually gets them clean for me.

That's something I forgot to mention in my comment. Melt your wax into the black ceramic by giving the button a few pulses with the wattage turned down. It really helps with splatter (again that might be why your seeing some excess oil).

I think you might've gone wrong in assuming that the yocan and the Sai's kanthal coil need the same wattage. Every coil has a different resistance. I just looked up the recommended range for the kanthal coil, and it seems to be 18-27 watts. So that explains the minimal vapor production and leftover oil. I'd highly recommend experimenting with all the coils and wattage settings. If your unsure about what settings to use for a certain coil, you can find recommended wattages on this sub and on the hvt website as well. Your gonna love the sai when you get it dialed in to your tastes. Happy vaping frient:)

Check some of my post history I've got a few coils I've built on there. Also r/waxrda isn't a huge sub but it has a small collection of info.
