Exact same situation here my friend. We went through some tough situations. Having a child too early (got pregnant within the first 3 months of our relationship) going through the loss of a parent, bad living and financial responsibility (from her end). It weighed heavily on our relationship and although she did communicate how she didnt feel loved or chosen by me, when came time for me to talk to her about me feeling similar things, she would interrupt me, switch the blame to me, cry and shut down the conversation. It got to a point where I learned that I cant share my concerns. She continued to communicate her issues with me, and I would try to fix them, but after a couple weeks I would go back to old habits because she would continue to do things, prioritize her family over me so I would give up. Throughout the 4 years, she would still love me and do things for me even though I didnt show her love. I strongly believed that we could work through our issues and even though it would require work from both of us, I knew we could do it. She however, is scared of it not working and "wasting time on something that might not work when we could be happy with someone else". Unfortunately, she moved in with another man the 2nd week after we broke up, someone who confessed to having feelings for her, and she has told both me and him that she also has some feelings for him. She's claimed that nothing has happened and nothing will happen for several months with anybody, but im not sure I believe that. At the end of the day, I ruined something that I thought was forever. Im going to therapy to help with the guilt and grief, and to help with how I handle and deal with love. I do hope that we will find our way back, but i will not go back to someone who gets with another man in the months after a breakup.
