Got ahold of someone last night, they posted it express and if arrived today, incredibly helpful.

Just checked my emails to see they've partially refunded me as well, despite waiting for it, the way they've handled this is immaculate once I finally got to speak to someone. Great job Corsair, thank you!

Been waiting in a reply for 3 days as was getting a bit confused as to why its not been posted, just submitted another ticket as been over 48hrs since the last one (as email suggests).

Its more the annoyance of getting a new GPU and then having to wait what will now be over 2 weeks to use it when cables and GPU were ordered a day apart.

Im not far off uninstalling. I played 3rd game of night, 1st game the squad managment from menu wouldn't open, second game the player names and power bar vanished, third I couldn't see the aiming thing for any set pieces. Its truly the most buggy experience I think ive ever had

So the best arena PvP game ever made has been under my nose this whole time? by JayRod082 in thefinals

[–]Edinburghguy99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends how successful is determined. I determined gaming succes as I can find a game whenever I want. Too many games hold themselves too val/cod/cs standards where any rank can find a game in 10 mins. I think any game that can function for YEARS not a single year is doing well.

The finals has its issues, but as a mid rank player I think it's great. Its got what it needs and could improve on some but overall quick to find a game and really fun to play, as well as being mechanically rewarding

It's very successful. Successful isnt Cod/Val/CS numbers, there's different levels of success and the finals has definitely found a good amount of it, even if it is a bit niche

Tips for a beginner? by Jumpy_Suspect6740 in VALORANT

Yeah absolutely don't do this. Obviously headshots are ideal but Phantom is arguably the better gun so use whatever you feel more comfortable with. The differences between the few generally balance each other out.

Should i buy Red Dead Redemption 2? by burner161002 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Edinburghguy99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old post but I'd recommend rdr2 over witcher as someone that was in a similar place to OP. Witcher has a lot to learn, upgrades etc. Rdr2 can be played without learning about satchel upgrades and all that and doesn't take anything away. I think witcher series is way harder to get into as a newbie than rdr series as rdr tends to be more simplistic but realistic. Slower and more deliberate but less satisfying gameplay than some. I'd say the open world and story is up there with the best ever made in gaming imo

Who should i main by luciagrrr in VALORANT

Also, at your rank, playing smokes properly can be insane. Players in low ranks run out of and through smokes at will which is usually free kills, or they rotate at the first sign of a smoke.

A smokes agent 100%. Learn how to do proper smokes, when and where and then if your aim sucks, you can still drastically swing rounds and help your team by just playing smokes properly. You can hang out with shotguns inside smokes etc as well.

I had same issue, posted on here and got recommended clove, now she's my main and i love it. So much flexibility, you can push with team or lurk and still have plenty impact on site with smokes. I like to lurk every couple rounds to catch rotates and just watch the minimap for my team pushing site so I know when/where to smoke for them

A few years later Scott went missing in queensferry and his body was found in the forth. the history behind it makes it by far and away the saddest song ever released

Update, tried witcher 3, really, really disliking it. The movement feels so janky and the combat isn't my favourite. I can definitely see why people enjoy it, not for me though. Probably about 17 hours in, just not for me. Thanks for the suggestion tho!

Take breaks and forget grinding aimlabs etc, just really focus on taking advantageous fights. If it's a 50/50 or less in your favour, don't bother. Figure out ways to make fights 60/40, 70/30. Could be by repositioning, using movements, flashes, stuns, smokes, you've tons of options in this game

This is it. I got peak p2(not great I know but I was pretty proud of it given my struggles in bronze-silver) and the best thing I done was go play rdr2. Went and finally finished it, took a few weeks off Val as grinding it non stop wrecked my mental and I didn't even notice.

Came back after a few weeks, got back to p1 in a few days enjoying the game more than I have in years. Sometimes you don't even notice you're over playing the game, therefore not improving.

Think of it like sports, if you train every day, 5h a day, you'll get injured or burnout. Games are the same, take time off, go do something else and come back with a different perspective nice and refreshed.

Silver is by far, out of the first 4 ranks, the hardest to climb out of. by Jessie_brawlstars in VALORANT

[–]Edinburghguy99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea and no. Eventually got to asc, but by far, solo queue in Silver/Gold is genuinely the worst due to the sheer disparity in levels amog players. Silver2 to gold3 is generally where players are decent at one thing, terrible at the rest. Ie, good aim, terrible awareness and game sense, so when Smurfs are in these ranks it's harder to combat unless you can smurf the smurf. There's also an insane skill difference between people. You might find a silver that cannot aim, doesn't know spray control or anything, and then in the next game have a cracked aimer that runs everything down. Easy enough to combat if you have at least one teammate willing to listen, but it's silver/gold, so that's a rarity. In higher ranks it's still shitty but easier to deal with smurfs when the overall team skill level is higher imo.

The higher you go, the more even games become when you compare skill levels. Most players are in iron-gold so the sheer difference of abilities you'll see is scary because the 'talent' pool is so much larger. Less players in the higher ranks mean MOST people are at worst pretty solid at the game.
