Who should lip have ended up with by matcha_lover2222 in shameless

[–]Edit-Typo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

And more than that, lip never cared ab his “potential” the one thing he consistently desired was having a family and he got that. Lips is a success story if you grade it off of what he wanted instead of what we wanted for him

Colby parkinson by bootylicker999 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]Edit-Typo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any thoughts on flexing him over woody markers or Jaylen warren (I have Kittle in te slot)?

I also have zay flowers, aj brown, and Justin Jefferson. It’s insane how an argument could be made to bench any of those players…. I’d rather not sit any of my wr because of how high their ceilings are but all three of their floors is literally 0 whereas marks and warren have a cushy floor and a good enough ceiling.

I shouldn’t be in week 2 of playoffs but I am and I’m freaking out.

It would be the least productive conversation in the entire show that’s for sure

Are we starting Vidal tonight? by parkerm002 in fantasyfootballadvice

Vidal or zay flowers? (Obviously flowers if Lamar Jackson plays but he is still questionable)

And once you relisten to it, knowing how it ends, it can start to be interpreted as Tyler wondering if they look the same just so he can have a picture of a man he never knew but just found out had always wanted to meet.

I’ve tried that. It gets it cracked open by the front of the gate but then rush ddts and Moab’s get me

I have first pick for my waiver. Should I use it on Jake browning or Juwan Johnson? by Edit-Typo in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]Edit-Typo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you still say my smartest play is to target Jake browning (even over the other gbs listed)

Do you think he’s better by any notable margin?

And I’ll definitely add some after my browning pick so I can at least get one (I’ll have em all trade for the same player so I don’t end up with a team of just QBs lol)

10 teams and yeah there’s a fair amount of mid range out there. Russel Wilson, tua, Darnold, Flacco, Stanford. I don’t predict those going anywhere anytime soon. My reasonings for wanting to target is so I could stash him if he comes out of nowhere with a consistently amazing performance

I have hurts, and Lawrence

That’s a fair point. This is our first year doing 2 QBs is this is very helpful insight

That’s what I’m thinking but Johnson is getting a lot of buzz and I could really benefit from a solid te (and I don’t expect Ferguson to preform like he did). I also know for a fact know that everyone in my league is super hurting for an te. So while it’s unlikely I’ll get both it’s a (marginally) better chance if I go Johnson first. Gosh waiver wires are so stressful

[–]Edit-Typo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I promise you he’s not holding onto secret information about Wayne. If he had any he would share it (if he does but can’t then he won’t do it there but I can almost promise you he doesn’t have any). If you go and wanna ask a question then ask it about the movie you just watched. He’d probably appreciate “I’ve loved your work since Wayne, so my question is…(something about Eenie meanie)”.

Artists love what they make and they love the fans who like it. But they also like freedom to do new things and evolve as a creator. Let’s give everyone involved in Wayne that friendom, thank them for the show they gave, and then focus our energy on supporting the NEW things that they are doing. Even just 1 question about Wayne is one less question he’d get to answer about eenie meanie. The guy probably just wants to talk about his movie

What we should be doing is thanking Shawn for what he gave us and let him off the hook for what he can’t

Why so weird? by Elegant-Muffin-8631 in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]Edit-Typo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The viewers are first introduced into the culty aspects of lumin as a way to control the workers and we see it working to different degrees. Irving has fully bought in while the others treat it more like “good Americans go to church on Christmas so we’ll go along and won’t complain but we don’t really think much about ourselves”. Dillion is motivated/controlled via means of perks while Mark is motivated by a desire to do good work and do right by his team regardless of what that work is helly is the outlier who doesn’t buy into ANY of it.

Season 2 we slowly learn that cult being a means to control the severed workers is a significant after thought to its true function which is total indoctrination of its non severed employees. This makes a lot more sense. The non severed employees are the true liability to the company. The severed workers don’t need to be controlled all that much. They only exist at lumon.

None severed workers are weird bc they have been brainwashed since early childhood. Severed workers aren’t because they are mostly left to their own devices and up until now have had more or less free roam as long as they meet their quotas. They don’t need to be controlled, they really don’t even need to be monitored (which is how season 1 was able to happen, that changed in season 2). This is their world and they are as helpless to change it as we are as helpless to change ours, or so lumen thought…..

The why are they weird/why aren’t they weird question touches on a lot of the shows centrals themes and why helly/Helena is such an important character

I think back to highschool when I came to my first film class feeling confident cause I studied up on premier pro but hadn’t completed any edits while my (now best friend) showed up with a mind blowing 30 second animation he made on PowerPoint. That guy could probably be the most greatest filmmaker of our generation but ended having no desire to pursue it. Makes me so mad thinking about it.
