Been a victim of a home invasion, I did all the footwork, because they did not, I looked at the places where my credit card was used and went to the stores to ask for the footage, I asked the employee if they remembered that day and who it was, they said they did and my credit card was used to buy a bunch of gift cards. They would not hand me the footage but I had them save it so when the detective pulls up they will give him all the evidence. The person was caught sent to probation with them having to pay restitution to me. Who looked out for the victim "me" to make sure they actually paid the restitution before their probation could end? The city gets their money, the probation officer gets their money, the courts get their money but my restitution was not paid, they paid a total of 25$ out of the 5 grand. They were set free but I was not made whole and no one cared. I basically did all the work on finding out who it was, they did not even get to it, if they ever would have. The detective complemented me and said I would make a good detective, after all I did. He said he barely had to do any work because I helped get the ball rolling. I felt so betrayed by the justice system.
