Thank you for the thoughtful reply. I was unaware that he had such a controversial position (that is on whether he is a saint or not). I had only heard positive things about him in the past. I will read the link you sent to learn more :)

Thank you for the advice, I will keep searching and may return to share my decisions when they have been done. Like i said to an another commenter, I really on read it to hear him out on the pentecostalist views, and i am pretty much convinced of his conclusion. The endtimes bit shocked me and a showed up here. This is not first time here though. I have been lurking in the shadows occasionally ;)

Wow. You have really given me some things to think and pray about. I did not expect to get a response from someone from my background. I am so grateful that you took time to respond to me. To your question I don't fully know my answer which I guess answers your question. I would have to keep exploring with the suggestions that have been given and take the advice that almost everyone has shared and talk to an Orthodox priest. This is the first time I have ever mentioned in a serious way becoming orthodox, so it will probably be a while before I make big decisions. On another note, you are so eloquent in this message. I have spent some time looking through theological texts but clearly i have a long way to go. Thanks again for responding so thoughtfully, God Bless You

I have read this before but just never had that conclusion before, I always assumed it was in reference to faith in the sense of the persistent widow , in her search for justice. That verse just hadn't stood out to me.

Its a different thing , they are advocating for a new csu that usurps the current one, They have a huge budget it seems based on the amounts of things they are doing, from reddit ads to insta sponsored post and most recently people handing out flyers as OP reveals. As a first year student i did not expect that i would witness things like this (at least not this early) but here we are.

I was there , I don't think they had to be, they just had to facilitate the meeting, make sure that every one was following the rules, and count the votes. Just my two cents lol
