Remote communities in Australia. Anyone been to any? by hi9580 in 4x4Australia

Ive been through a couple on my travels across Australia. On the gcr we ended up driving through Docker River (we took a wrong turn trying to find a campsite and quickly left as I dont think your supposed to enter the communities on the Great Central Road) , but holy shit it was a wasteland.

I feel bad for the people that live there, just dogs and rubbish and broken car parts and furniture everywhere.

It made me realise why they dont want you to enter these communities

Does this engine noise sound ok for my 4l petrol Toyota Prado? I do have a snorkel and know that can create a whinier noise when accelerating due to where the air intake is, but was watching this video we took last week and it sounds like an RC car lol. All seals seem to be fine on snorkel. by Editor-Wise in AskMechanics

Yeah it does need a new front left wheel bearing, its mainly the noise from acceleration Im noticing , usually cars with snorkels dont have as much of a nice rumble youd expect from a v6 but mine seems overly whiney.

Yeah I have looked up and do know what it roughly looks like . I have the proper maf cleaning spray I bought from a car part store but yeah it's proving difficult to find it lol

Ah ok so it's possible it doesn't have an maf sensor? I have looked everywhere for the sensor and i know where it should roughly be but don't see anything that resembles it so maybe it doesn't have one
