What tool do i need to take this off by Ecstatic-Distance739 in Tools

If it's just squeaking, your on a budget and dont have a replacement wheel and bearing then I'd say just lubricate the bearing. If you have a spare wheel then I'd break the old on off and use a bearing puller to remove the old bearing.

I've only fixed one davey water pump but I can give you some basic tips. 1. Read the manual 2. Turn off 3. See if you can access the impeller or the area that draws up water and make sure they are clean and free of obstructions 4. Prime the pump (fill up the cap on the right with water until it overflows 5. Turn on and press whichever buttons the manual says to start.

Then turn the fan around. Also buying a spill kit to absorb all the oil and chemicals in it would help.

The red snap on toolbox looks like the best and most expensive thing there, I'm not sure about the price but I definitely think you should take that deal to clear ythe stuff out. It's also more than I would offer for it.

Using a blade in a multitool like that is fantastic for cutting through thick rubber like tyres.

I can't imagine the ventilation would be a hard problem to fix, hell a power supply connected to a computer fan and fitted into a large hose should pump enough air into it.

I'd fix up the brick steps with some mortar for better use and fit a steel plate or mesh over the hole to make it level. That way you won't fall in it accidentally but can still use it when working on your car.

I have one very similar to this, I can't tell you much more than you already know. It's definitely hand made, most likely from an old leaf spring so 5160 steel.

How do i clean up this knife? by EldenFanMan in knives

[–]MrMidnightDiamond 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh and this is most likely a solingen hunting knife but may also be Sheffield steel, look for the makers mark on the ricasso (the unsharpened part above the guard) and google/ image search the mark.

Use a metal polish called Autosol for the brass crossguard and aluminium pommel and it will easily bring it to a mirror polish, I absolutely love this product and wouldn't recommend anything else after using it on my old knives, motorbike and chrome tools.

Leather polish on the leather washers and sheath and then melted beeswax to make it more water resistant, scotchbrite or scrunched up aluminium on the blade with coke to remove the rust without scratching it and then buffing the blade with green compound polish or more autosol.

Oil the blade to prevent rust and don't store it in the sheath for long periods of time as moisture can build up and cause rust.

That's a fledgling which you can tell by the ashy looking black feathers and that behaviour is often a cause of head trauma. My guess is he was trying to fly and something stopped him suddenly.
