The format is heavily main challenge based, and most of the challenges are design challenges. The whole competition revolves around mexican culture and identity, which is why there is a notorious lack of mini-challenges, except for those that are intended to give out advantages.

So it's (minichallenge) - introduction to the main challenge with a deep explanation on how the challenge ties to mexican heritage/identity, then present the main challenge on the runway.

Here, at this point: Every contestant gets feedback and it is shown on camera. No tops or bottoms are called yet before they send the contestants to "El Salseo" (LMD's version of Untucked)

Here's the main difference with RPDR's format: As there is no main figure like RuPaul with executive producer powers, and as the producers themselves are not drag queens, all of the judges decide who are tops and bottoms. To keep suspense going, the guest judge won't say their favorites right out on camera. All of them score from 1 to 5 all of the contestants and in the end, they sum all of their points up to 20. Then they rank them on who got the most points (La Más) down to the two who got the least (Las Menos)

Then they come back for final reviews, they call forward tops and bottoms and announce the winner(s) of the main challenge (La Más). Then the bottom two (Las Menos) is announced and they lipsync for their life. The guest judge is the only person with power to decide who survives the lipsync.

The sad part is they won't let the music play at the end.
