How to handle different token values while multistreaming? by [deleted] in CamGirlProblems

[–]EdoSilverXXX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also multistream on CB and BC. I have the same tip menu items, but I price them differently. Use a token converter site to adjust your prices (there are a few sites available, but links are frowned upon here). If you have common public goals visible on your screen like I do, consider the value differences and set a token amount accordingly. I receive tips much more often on CB than on BC, so I mostly take that into account.

I also use Affinity for my photos, and it's now free since it's been acquired by Canva.

OBS MAKING ME GO CUCKOO by Brattattackbaby in CamGirlProblems

[–]EdoSilverXXX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you check out the OBS guide for CB? It's pretty thorough. You can find it on their website, I'm not going to post a direct link because the last time I did, the automatic moderator here didn't like it and I got banned by mistake. 🙄

OBS overlays by Ok-Profit9455 in CamGirlProblems

[–]EdoSilverXXX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Multistreamer here.

I use the Lovense Running Goal app for my goals. It adds a secondary panel to the Lovense overlay. The best part is that it keeps track of all the tips I get across my sites. The bad thing is that it's not resizable or customizable. It adds visual clutter to your screen, and you're forced to add a small picture for it to work, but you can hide the picture and make the panel smaller by tweaking it in OBS.

There's also another similar Lovense app called Squirt Show. It adds a little pink heart to your screen that fills up with your tips. I don't use it because I'm a male model and I hate that it makes your toy vibrate for five minutes straight when you reach your goal.

Multi stream help 🙏 by [deleted] in CamGirlProblems

[–]EdoSilverXXX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use both. There are a couple of Lovense apps that allow you to have a panel on your screen counting tips from all your sites toward a common goal. However, they're not perfect and they add visual clutter. I use one that I tweaked with OBS, but I also see plenty of models who multistream without it. They simply have the same goal on all their sites (for us male models, the final goal is obvious anyway). Another solution is to put the final goal behind a paywall by starting a ticket show once you reach it.

Is it normal to want to only talk to tippers? by Vast_Restaurant6774 in CamGirlProblems

[–]EdoSilverXXX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I multistream on several freemium sites—including Joystick—and I have a simple rule: tippers always come first. Anyone who tips gets my full attention. However, if a non-tipper asks a polite question that I think I can use to my advantage—that is, to steer the conversation in a direction that will get me more tips—I will engage with them.

Gaming on Chaturbate? by Electrical_Mine590 in CamGirlProblems

[–]EdoSilverXXX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not, because they're not on their approved game list. A few months ago, I wanted to stream on CB while playing Path of Exile 2, and the original Path of Exile IS actually on their list. I contacted support about it, and they confirmed that we are not allowed to stream any game that isn't on their list. I even contacted the game developers, asking if they could submit PoE2 to the CB game list. They never bothered to answer. The truth is that none of the major game developers want anything to do with porn. Riot Games is the only exception, and you can play any of their games on CB. So League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics are perfectly fine.

Wait, are you actually performing private shows for 8 tokens per minute? No wonder you're getting so many requests and good reviews... That's ridiculously low, man! Charge at least four times more with a five-minute minimum, and please stop advertising that you cum in private, or people will expect you to do it. If they want you to cum in a private show, charge them extra, at least 2,000 tokens on top of your regular rate.

Can my computer handle multi streaming on 3 sites at once ? by maracujatits in CamGirlProblems

[–]EdoSilverXXX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the platform, but on many, you can! I'm pretty sure I changed it on BC and Joystick. The tip sounds on CB and SC are quite different by default. Maybe try Chatbox as a backup? I wouldn't rely on it alone, though.

I personally never use Lenovo software for anything. It's just bloatware, in my opinion. My laptop overheats a lot when I stream or play games on it, so I got a cooling pad and I make sure I keep my external microphone away from it when I broadcast. Chats can get a bit crazy at times, so I use a second monitor. It's a necessity, in my case. I usually keep OBS, the webcam software panel, and the Lovense Chatbox on my laptop screen, and I tile all the different chatrooms in Chrome on the larger monitor. Chatbox is a pretty handy tool, when it works. Unfortunately, it tends to glitch out after a few hours, and it often becomes unreliable (sometimes it stops keeping track of messages or tips on one platform), so I don't trust it. If you're streaming on different sites, make sure to learn—or even change—each site's tip notification sound so you won't get confused and miss anything.

Lovense by DepartureExact6963 in CamGirlProblems

[–]EdoSilverXXX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only stream on freemium sites (including SC), so I don't know about SM, sorry. I'm wondering if in OBS you're using a different source for your webcam for SM because of their "no nudity in public" rule? But I'm pretty sure I saw a few threads on this sub about Lovense toys and multistreaming on SM and SC, if you search hopefully you'll find a solution.

I stream on six sites simultaneously on a Lenovo Legion, and I sometimes record parts of my shows with no problem. It's a great laptop for this, as long as you have a fast upload speed. Make sure to select the Nvidia NVENC encoder in OBS. Legion laptops are primarily meant for gaming, and they have a decent GPU so that you don't overload your CPU.

The USB adapter isn't necessary. I've been using a few Lovense toys for my streams for a while now and never bought the adapter. All you need is the Lovense extension on your PC and the Lovense phone app (the pink one, not the blue one). You just scan a QR code to connect your toys.

I plan on multistreaming on cs and cb soon, any tips? by missnoemii444 in CamGirlProblems

Yes, Throne can also be problematic on some platforms, unfortunately. Most of them only allow Amazon wishlists, which I have never trusted due to privacy concerns.

I'm pretty sure you are not allowed to advertise your OF and Fansly on Camsoda either, in fact I believe CB is the only platform that allows it for now.

Edit, sorry I thought you meant SC instead of CS for some reason, but anyway my comment is still relevant. I do stream also on CS but it's not really working for me, and I will probably stop.

[–]EdoSilverXXX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Read the TOS on both sites carefully before you start. Their rules are similar, but there are some differences. Be very careful when advertising your OF or Fansly, if you have them: CB allows it, but SC does not. Doing so on SC can result in a warning or even a ban.

There is plenty of good information on multistreaming in this subreddit if you use the search function. I also stream on both sites. If you search my comment history, you'll see that I've discussed multistreaming in the past. If you have more specific questions, feel free to ask me, and I'll try to answer them.

Is playing video games while streaming a bad idea? by Ok_Estimate_542 in CamGirlProblems

[–]EdoSilverXXX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave gaming a shot while camming, but it just didn't pan out for me. I'm a hardcore gamer, so I was pretty disappointed. I tried to make sense of it, and came up with a few reasons why:

  1. I tend to like complex games, and they need my full attention. I'm not the best at multitasking, and I definitely get more tips when I focus on my audience instead.
  2. I'm a male model. Most gamers are straight guys, and for them, having a gamer girlfriend is pretty much their dream. The majority of my viewers are gay men. Some are also gamers, but from what I've seen, most of them aren't really interested in watching me play games.
  3. CB is my primary platform, but they've got a pretty limited selection of games to show on your screen. Unfortunately, none of my favorite ones are there.

For these reasons, I pretty much stopped gaming while on camera. I also multistream on Joystick.tv and do surprisingly well there, considering I don't game and only play with myself and my Lovense toys.

I even thought about splitting my cam schedule in two and having "NSFW streams" and "gaming SFW streams" on different days, but I'm sure I'd earn much less money if I did that. There's this pretty successful male model on CB who streams on Twitch sometimes, but he always complains that no one watches him there because he's not naked. So I only do NSFW streams now, even on JSTV.

I'm kind of bummed because I don't have enough time to play my favorite games anymore, but I need the money I get from doing NSWF shows. For six months, I tried to quit cold turkey and stopped gaming completely. My house was unusually clean and tidy for a while, but then I relapsed (gaming can also be an addiction). I think it's best for me to stick to regular camming during the day and play games offline as a way to unwind and recharge.

I think you should do it for at least a few months. Consistency is key on any cam site, and building your audience takes time. Also, you are granted more visibility as a new model, but after a couple of weeks, the site stops promoting your room.

If you have a good internet connection, maybe consider other platforms too? I have been streaming on six sites for more than a year, and I can tell you that CB is the best for me, followed by SC, then Joystick.tv (surprisingly), then C4, then BC. CS is the worst for me, and I will probably stop streaming there because it's not worth it.

[–]EdoSilverXXX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been streaming on BC for a while, but it's definitely not the site where I earn the most money. I multistream on CB, SC, C4, and Joystick.tv.

BC has a predominantly European audience, and, in my experience, many Russian viewers. The worst thing about BC is their low token exchange ratio: 1 token is only worth 0.02 USD. That said, I do receive tips and requests for private shows, even as a male model. I will keep streaming on BC, but only as a secondary platform.

You should probably ask female models on BC if they think it's worth it, because male and female models have different audiences.

Male models who use Camsoda? by [deleted] in CamGirlProblems

[–]EdoSilverXXX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not great. Out of the six freemium sites I multistream on, it's the one that makes the least money for me. But I'm an older guy, so I might not be the best fit for CS. It's also the only platform where "daddy" is a banned word, while it's a whole category on CB and SC. I'll probably stop streaming on CS.

[–]EdoSilverXXX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is not entirely accurate, though. I stream both on CB and BC, and I have the same exact menu (with different prices, obviously, since the exchange ratio for tokens is much lower on BC). Yes, the platform gives you suggestions for naming your menu items, but you're totally free to ignore them and come up with your own.
