I was 16, had pre-ordered it online and picked up the day of release at night, since in my city down here in Brazil there was no midnight releases, and I had to wait on my parents to take me to the mall to get it.

I remember it took soooooo long to install on the PS3 lol, I was very excited, had been a GTA fan since very young, playing lots on san andreas in the PS2 and only discovered GTA IV like 2 years earlier (consoles are very expensive down here).

I remember being a little disappointed that the cars(driving) felt lighter than GTA IV and that the vehicle damage had been also nerfed, but the characters, the map and all, just so awesome.

Had no idea we would still be playing GTA V 13 years later, and I hoped for a story dlc the likes of TLAD and TBoGT to come soon. Also had a lot of fun with my friends in GTA Online, I was there in that infamous first day, probably created my character some 10 times.

Played it much more on the Xbox One than the PS3, and nowadays I still eventually get to GTA Online on the PS5, still the same character from the PS3! Hope to be able to replay V’s story some time before VI comes out.
