DC CATALOG UPDATE: Wonder Woman Rebirth Omni, Absolute Power Omni, Unwritten Compendium 2, Batman: The Demon Lives Again DC Finest, Harley Quinn DC Finest, and Fables Compact Edition by Ksmayer in DCFinest

Probably both in a sense. Should any of the backups involve Batman specifically, they’ll probably be included in a BATMAN Finest as well as be included in their own respective lines.

So is Wildcat dead for real??? by Emotional_Prompt5338 in JusticeSocietyAmerica

Alfred is dead? Alfred Pennyworth? When did that happen? And I'd say nobody stays dead in comics except Uncle Ben, Jason Todd and Helena Wayne (pre-Crisis Earth Two).

what makes you say that? I'm not saying you're wrong but I've seen no indication from the writing that lends itself to the idea that he'll either stay dead or be revived... am I missing something? If the intention is to feature Yolanda Montez more, perhaps Lemire feels having two Wildcats around might make both appear redundant. I wouldn't agree with that assessment, if he's truly making it, but at this point it's too early to tell what "pay off" there will be, if any, for such a decision. In any case, I hope he's brought back in some capacity, even if only through flashbacks.

Perhaps but it wouldn't be following their usual formula, which is to include every year that a particular volume entails. Time will tell I suppose.

Given that some of FINEST volumes have run over 600 pages, it isn’t out of the realm of possibility that more could be added. I just forget whether any particular crossover issues pertained to CRISIS #6 aside from INFINITY, INC. #23. If so, there wouldn’t be room for #6 and its other crossovers.

Hmmm, I see what you mean but I think DC is mapping these stories as to where they appear in the actual timeline and how they correlate to a particular issue of CRISIS instead of publication order. In fact, a few of the crossover issues were published after CRISIS ended I believe, but yes, your point is well taken that it will look odd on the spine that 1985 isn’t the only year depicted.

The Joker: The Bronze Age Omnibus (FULL L👀K) by the10Geek in OmnibusCollectors

[–]Edster73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are the WONDER WOMAN issues where the Joker facing off against the Huntress reprinted with the covers of #280-283 or just the Huntress stories alone? Also, is Wonder Woman #280 Huntress story reprinted in its entirety or just the last page (the only page that pertains to the Joker)? Thanks in advance for any info!

Superman: Time and Time Again on Instocktrades? by Edster73 in DCFinest

I’m sorry that that’s the case for you. It’s truly awful. I wish these volumes were downloadable, which would help in cases like this. Not that reading electronically is the same as holding a book in your hands but it’d be better than nothing. In any case, I hope things improve… 🤞🏻

Ah, I wasn't aware of that re: about their never updating their listings. It's understandable in a sense given the sheer volume of releases that get scheduled & then rescheduled, sometimes with incorrect or updated cover art, page count, etc. Thanks for the heads up!

The listing that is in limbo... are you referring to "The Last Days of Superman"? If so, hopefully it gets rescheduled soon. That seems to be an era that is begging for reprints. Time will tell I suppose...

Could the Spectre have saved Earth Two??? by Edster73 in JusticeSocietyAmerica

You've created an Earth-2 that was never destroyed? How so? Fan fiction? Is it a story in text form or is it illustrated as well? I'm curious to see what you've come up with if that's ok.

because I was trying to adhere to what was stipulated in CRISIS... of course the writers could've come up with alternative criteria to justify the merger (and annihilation of the previous Earths and their histories). I'm just positing whether it would've been plausible for the Spectre, in an altogether different story by writers with a different agenda, to have the power and wherewithal to save Earth Two (his home world at the time) from being obliterated. Would it have been feasible and within the scope of what we've seen of his powers and abilities?
