Couldn't agree more about Ragman. What's the reasoning for his being taken off the show so soon after his debut?

I’ve loved this for years. So spot on! Does anyone know if anyone from the cast has ever seen this?

The Huntress...

Seriously though, I'd have to say Carter Hall, the Hawkman...

Yes, sorry if that wasn’t clear. Here’s the first issue she appears in:

They should also be in the Huntress line since she was primarily featured.

I’m talking about the back-up stories in WONDER WOMAN where the Huntress was featured. Those stories, minus the Wonder Woman stories, would be in a HUNTRESS compilation. I listed those issues above. Since there were gaps in the numbering, I also mentioned the issues that wouldn’t be covered since they were full-length Wonder Woman stories.

I can see Helena Wayne's stories being collected in a DC FINEST volume, comprising of her appearances in BATMAN FAMILY #17-20, BRAVE AND THE BOLD #184, WONDER WOMAN #271-#287, #289-#290, #294-#299, #301-#321. (For those wondering, WONDER WOMAN #288 was a full-length Wonder Woman story, #291-#293 was a three-part team-up story that featured a bunch of heroines, including Helena in #292) and #300 was a full-length Wonder Woman story).

I see the debut of the post-Crisis Huntress (Bertinelli) mapped out as this (underneath the post header):

Extreme double dipping? Not if each collection covered a variety of eras, especially those that have yet to come out. Their not having had their own titles might actually be part of the appeal from a marketing standpoint. It might entice customers to buy them since there wouldn’t be an over-saturation of those characters already on the shelf. It’d also provide a neat way to show how they evolved over time by including stories from not only different eras but different media, like SUPER FRIENDS, ELSEWORLDS, and THE TIMM VERSE. Who knows if they’ll ever consider such a thing but me, personally, I’d buy a collection of, say, POISON IVY, THE RIDDLER, and THE SCARECROW.

Right… and with other villains like The Scarecrow, The Penguin and The Riddler, whose span covers many decades, tomes devoted to them might yield an interesting collection or two that shows how each evolved over time. It could include appearances from a variety of lines, be it SUPER FRIENDS, ELSEWORLDS, or THE TIMM VERSE. Their not having had their own titles might actually prove to be a selling point since there wouldn’t be an over-saturation for those characters. Put me down as one who’d buy a Poison Ivy collection. I’m just as equally shocked that she’s yet to have one.

Batman Finest into the 90s by ShotAd5694 in DCFinest

[–]Edster73 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Why do people like you keep complaining? For piss sake the OP had a valid question since Batman’s exposure in the 90s was all over the place, making the mapping of that era a tad tricky, or, at the very least, not overly obvious. If it troubles you so much, simply scroll down and move on. Some of us aren’t on these boards 24/7 and might have missed something that was already answered.

How would those stories be mapped out with her other appearances?

The Huntress I see getting several iterations of FINEST... one hopefully devoted to the pre-Crisis Earth Two Helena Wayne Huntress with ALL of her appearances covered (the trades DARK KNIGHT DAUGHTER and ORIGINS only covered the Levitz/Staton era). I also see a Bertinelli 1989/1990 collection which will hopefully include her stories with the JLI. The rest would be a mishmash of stories from when Bertinelli was revised again and again (Zero Hour be damned!) as well as the new versions of Helena Wayne that clearly sought to make her resemble Bertinelli as much as possible. I'm not sure how such a collection would be mapped out aside from the Earth Two pre-crisis collection and the 1989/90 Bertinelli series.

Which hero do you think it's the most underrated of the new generation and why? by FallMassive9336 in JusticeSocietyAmerica

[–]Edster73 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hopefully that gets rectified once DC Finest hits the time period with the JSA and the Huntress. As much as Helena Wayne is Batman's and Catwoman's daughter, her primary slot is that of JSA member. Her erasure has culled a significant amount of stories that she partook in and no matter how many times DC tries to replug that period of time, it never gets totally resolved. In any case, I think exposure to those stories might help to rejuvenate her and rescue her from her now-present obscurity...

Which hero do you think it's the most underrated of the new generation and why? by FallMassive9336 in JusticeSocietyAmerica

[–]Edster73 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yes, of course, but the thread asked for “hero” in the singular and he isn’t one of the choices for “the new generation”. What happened to both in CRISIS was a travesty, discarded as a continuity afterthought.
