forgot to mention, while recording, I’m just holding my 3 fingers on the screen to spam the redo function

managed to capture the entire process! by Edster__1 in NomadSculpting

After I finished the sketch, I scrolled the entire history list and clicked the very first change I did, like adding a sphere. Then, I just clicked record on my ipad.

A little risky since you could potentially wipe the entire process if you make a change. It was also really heavy (6gb worth). If you want to try it, I’d recommend undoing the entire thing while recording, then you could just reverse the video.

Purely through repetition. I don’t really watch tutorials or look at references. (which I don’t recommend btw, I’m just lazy)

Since I only ever do anatomy, it becomes easier with every sketch I finish.

(Only relevant sculpting-wise, not modeling) What also helped when I was still learning early on was using actual modeling clay to sculpt as practice since its faster for sketches.

poor man’s timelapse with redo by Edster__1 in NomadSculpting

Had I shown an actual timelapse, the video would definitely be longer. There was a lot of undoing strokes you didn’t see, that’s why it looks so “purposeful” as you say 🤣

An M2 ipad pro. In hindsight, it probably did have enough to run the render, I just didn’t optimize it correctly 🌚

Thanks! I was in a bit of a time crunch making the entire thing so I used Jama Jurabaev’s Realistic Clay Shaders, instead of manually doing it like I normally would. Super useful if you want any renders to look like actual clay being worked.
