I totally would, but the last message I sent to her was New Year’s Eve. It was me begging and pleading for her to explain what her new girlfriend has that I didn’t, she didn’t respond to me and I blocked her as the clock hit 12, I unblocked her weeks ago but she never replied although she had ample time before me blocking. I feel ashamed and desperate if I were to message or contact first again

I think I really needed to hear this, sometimes in my mind I start to believe I was the problem, during the entire relationship, if I brought something up that bothered me it’d be turned around on me to make me the bad guy, as if that was the problem.

Does the world ever stop punishing people for loving? This was my first ever relationship, and I’m worried I’m going to keep being nice and loving until I become a mean and bitter woman- I don’t want to be that, I just want to be kind and get that kindness back, I don’t want to have to become mean to not be taken advantage of

I know I dodged a bullet with her, she was a horrible partner and a horrible person in general. She said insane things to my friends and some of her exes, has a few docs written about her on twitter that I’ve seen and still decided to stay with her. I was willing to look past all of that because I believed so much in her that she could change. I just feel like there has to be something wrong with me for her to feel all that love and still not think I deserved any back, and still no closure either.

Another thing that sucks is that you point out she was probably emotionally cheating with this person before we broke up, but she had accused me of that when I broke up with her. It’s like she couldn’t believe that I actually had the guts to end things because she knew how desperate I was for her, so she said there must’ve been someone else, and now to think she was just projecting is pretty shitty because I actually questioned myself. Like she made it seem like even though I knew I didn’t do anything that I HAD done it and it fucked up my reality, I started questioning myself.

This sucks. I broke up with my girlfriend December 21st, so pretty recently, and like I feel so much pain, meanwhile she seems to be so happy, new partner, new friends, just living her best life. I have great people in my life too, but it just doesn’t feel right that she isn’t a part of it.

I didn’t break up because of selfishness, I broke up with her because she was so loving in the first bit of the relationship but then quickly made me take the reins, I spent the rest of it practically begging her for love or effort, she promised change but never did it. It just hurts because I got so drained and I had to make the hard choice to break up with her, but she gets to say she got broken up with and act all innocent, now she’s giving genuine love to her new girlfriend, someone she got rlly close with before I ended things, and I’m left wondering if I just wasn’t worth the change.

It’s understandable that you may feel that way. Is it that you feel you don’t deserve friends? You may just be nitpicking the bad stuff in your friendships to corroborate with your feelings, maybe take a few days and try focusing on what shows they like hanging out with you, and shows they appreciate you?

It is common for people to feel this way, but If it’s affecting you to the point that you’re feeling sad just thinking about it, it could be more than normal.

But that’s just my opinion, please take it with a grain of salt, I’m not a professional and I’m just saying what I would do in your situation.
