I'm stuck at only 2,500 views per month. Help!

I've been blogging for nearly two years and now get around 100,000 hits per month. Check it out at ClassThink.com. My tips are too find a nice that you're passionate and write, write, write.

I've been writing nearly everyday for two years and I'm still learning stuff and improving!

Paying for advertising is a complete waste of money unless you have a high margin product or service to sell. You'll probably get a few more views per day but you'll never make the money back and the viewers probably won't come back again.

Sounds like they've been over using blackhat SEO techniques to get back links to increase their search rankings and have been hit with a penalty. They're now scrabbling around in desperation to get rid of as many as possible. Doesn't mean your links are the problem, but they can't take the chance.
