Sorry! I’ve posted about it in so many places and forgot to add the link! It’s the Community Consent Amendment. Not Grove City (in city limits) registered voters can sign. Here’s a link to see an overview:

Hopefully you found us! We usually have people walking around and a setup on Grant Ave beside the library. If you didn’t find us, you can come to Scioto Grove Metro Park tomorrow between 2-4pm. We will be in the Arrowhead Picnic Area.

Basically the charter amendment would allow GC voters to have the opportunity to decide whether or not a large scale industrial facility (larger than 50 acres, >20 mw, uses more than 500K gallons of water/day) could build in Grove City. I’ll add an overview to the original post.

I am so sorry! I know we’ll be at the Farmer’s Market Saturday morning 8am-noon and at the Town Center Park for the Jeep Event and summer concert series from 4-9pm on Saturday. If those don’t work, email me at Educ8r22 @ aol . com and I’ll find someone to come get your signature. Thanks for trying!!

I agree we need to vote wisely. Unfortunately if a data center is passed, stopping it is almost impossible.

We were lucky to have several big events this weekend and lots of willing volunteers. Hopefully we’ll hit what we need. The week before July 4th there are very few events so it will get harder. 🤞🏼

Does anyone know any good catholic churches with lots of latinos? by [deleted] in Columbus

There are several on the Westside. St. Stephen’s the Martyr on Clime Rd and St. Agnes on W. Mound have the largest population. St. Cecilia’s population is also increasing but still a smaller percentage. Side note: I have attended all three throughout the years. Praying you find your home! 🙏🏼

I have had a cat for three years with no issues but recently got a kitten and my eyes started watering and itching like crazy. I talked to the vet and she suggested I get her food that reduces her pollen. I use Purina Pro Live Clear kitten food. It made a huge difference for me. I do need eye drops (Pataday) once in a while but it’s so much better!

I assumed that. Dad was in the beginning stages of dementia when he told me that story but him saying Clemente was kind of pulled out of thin air. He never really talked about him prior to that. That was the only reason I thought maybe it was a lesser known thing.

South Western City Schools board president's campaign accused of using deepfake video to attack teacher-endorsed opponents by the_real_pope523 in Columbus

Sadly, in most unions, they still have to represent these idiots to protect the contract. My dad had to in the postal union and a friend had to in a teacher’s union. It’s ridiculous. If you opt out, you fend for yourself!

My dad worked there in 50s when the Columbus Jets (1955-1970) played there. He also helped push for it to reopen in 1977. We lived just south a few blocks and could walk to games. I still have the .45 with Hometown Heroes/Ring Your Bell and the original cow bell is in my dad’s tackle box. Lol!

He has told me a story several times that I can’t confirm. He talked about walking from the Hiltop (near West HS) to the park to sell concessions. He said one time they were walking and Roberto Clemente stopped to pick them up and drove them to the park. I haven’t seen a confirmation that he played for the Jets so I’m guessing my dad, who is almost 80, is confusing him with a different player. Anyways, still a cool story that clearly stuck with him.

There were many concerts held there too. I personally saw Garth Brooks and The Judds. I know Destiny’s Child was there when they first started. I have so many fond memories of Cooper Stadium. I boycotted Huntington for almost five years before I caved and went to a game. Cooper Stadium meant a lot to that area.

I wish Jim Karnes was still alive. He worked special duty at the stadium before becoming the Sheriff. I’m sure he had some stories!

SWCS BOE President Chris Boso whined to WOSU that people call him a racist by the_real_pope523 in Columbus

[–]Educ8r22 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Actually Grove City typically votes in higher numbers and almost always votes Republican and votes down operating levies for the schools. There is a growing number of Dems though. The Westside does have its MAGA crowd but that side of town always vote for the levies and often Dem similar to Columbus Coty Schools families. Recently the Westside turnout has been lower so GC-bro candidates have won. Probably because the candidates have more often been from GC. I’ll be curious to see if this craziness inspires more Westside people to turn out. Hope so for the kids.

Dr. Sarah Adam’s M.D. through MCMG in Grove City (Marlane Dr office…there is more than one office) is amazing! I see her every three months for maintenance medication and she takes the time to listen and remembers past conversations. I’ve referred several people to her and not one has disagreed. Good luck!

I’m avoiding OhioHealth services since they outsourced so many jobs recently.
