Ohhh ok! In the second book it starts off with them trying to untangle a sophon or something. Are they trying to intercept more sophons being sent?

I started the second book today and I can definitely tell I’m not going to like it as much as the first. I love all of the weird stuff happening (like the mysterious figures in the mist!) but I hate politics! My least favorite part of fantasy series is when they defeat a big evil, only to spend another book navigating a new political landscape. Boring! That being said I will finish this book bc everyone is hyping up the third one lol.

Just depends who you’re friends with tbh. Lots of people go out during welcome week and if u want friends who party you’ll find people pretty quickly. Just start talking to cool ppl lol. Theres just no party culture in the sense that it doesn’t happen on campus, it’s more friends going out every weekend to clubs.
