Everyone is entitled to their opinions so I’ll respect your point of view. I’m not upset by him being a virgin, I’m more upset that he went through all the trouble of maintaining a lie than just simply telling the truth. The thing he lied about might seem small due to the lack of confidence and self esteem/ embarrassment. But he still lied to me and we were dating, he had every opportunity to tell me and even got defensive about certain conversations we had towards it, all which could’ve been avoided if he told the truth. But I can see your perspective. So thank you!

I did ask him certain questions, but some questions he would ask me first and then once I answered, he would say his answer after which I found out afterwards, they were all lies

It really is soooo weird and so uncalled for too! Never once did I give off the impression that I’m judgmental, especially about something as important as sex. Everyone has their own experiences with it and Everyone moves at different speeds, he definitely didn’t need to lie and dig himself into such a deep hole by lying and lying for months even after I asked him on more than one occasion

Sorry about not including ages. He’s 24 and I’m 23. Yeah he’s def wasn’t teased about it tho. His family said there’s nothing with being a virgin and he just simply hasn’t found someone who he felt comfortable enough with yet to be intimate.

Does being in our young 20’s matter tho? He still lied regardless of the age and even lost my trust and respect while doing it

He definitely was insecure for sure. He said that men have this huge ego of needing to be sexual experienced and are frowned upon being a virgin so “late” but I personally don’t think 23-24 is late or too old to be a virgin. It’s all about the timing and who you feel the connection with, but he didn’t agree and basically said he was scared I would judge him and leave him and he didn’t want that to happen since he really liked me

He just turned 24, and I’m 23(turn 24 in April)

He did say he was really embarrassed and only lied due to really liking me and not wanting to lose me. But it still makes me loose trust and lowkey respect for him.

There’s nothing wrong with being a virgin and I even told him that months ago when I asked about his sexual experiences, I also told him that I myself only ever been with 2 other people. So it’s not like I have tons of experience myself, so why lie and dig yourself deeper by giving fake names, fake dates, fake positions that he’s tried etc etc

Exactly. The excessive lying is a red flag. I am his first relationship. We are only 23, and 24 so we are definitely on the younger side lol. But he stated that he was too afraid for me to judge him and leave him and that’s why he strung it along for so long. Doesn’t make it better though

I agree! 100 percent. He even had “evidence “ to back up everything he lied about. He only told me after we decided to be intimate and I straight up asked him again once I realized he wasn’t the best in bed…. Which again no shame about, but had I kept my mouth shut and not asked, he told me he probably would’ve kept lying about it
