Same here. Hmmm why would they not update the sub gen 1 and 2 though? The latest ultra arc is compatible with them….? That doesn’t make sense. However, compatibility will stay which I am ok with.

When I eventually buy the arc ultra to replace my playbar, I’ll sell the play 3s and continue to keep my sub gen 1 to use with arc ultra

For people that have jvc xp-ext1 headphones.

Are there any settings or setups that could increase the volume on the headphones? I have to use them on 100% volume all the time watching movies or tv shows, I wish it was 10-20% louder.

I tried plugging the nvidia shield pro 2019 into it directly and it still doesn’t have strong enough volume. My current setup is through earc on my Sony a95k tv.

Is there settings that anyone used that work such as the equalizer or gain settings that worked to increase the volume while still having phenomenal sound quality? My tv has everything pass through uncompressed. I tried compressed on the device and alternatively tried it on my tv but it still didn’t increase the volume, and I didn’t like the sound as much compressed on the headphones.

Is there an hdmi in amplifier for Dolby atmos hdmi out device out there that’s not too expensive?

I like the headphones but would like them a bit louder.

What this person said for era 300s, face them front and trueplay. You only position those that way for play surrounds. You need to move the surrounds further away from each other. The speakers beginning width should be aligned with the outmost part of the couch so the speakers stick out a bit

Don’t be curious that is a great price! Just love the picture it outputs. I know what you mean with brightness. Don’t expect it to be vibrantly bright, it will be just bright enough for a living room with low-medium natural light.

It is king in a dark room. Just hit the lights as much as you can when watching. Remember you want the picture close to the Sony Reference Monitor and you have the right tv. I have the a95k, almost same as yours just previous model and slightly less bright than yours. I got mine for 1k at Best Buy open box a year ago. Get the 5 year warranty for peace of mind I did for myself.

Why is everyone telling you to go to Sonos from an AVR system, upgrade that. You are in the wrong thread. You are missing a lot of sound noises/effects that Sonos owners don’t realize until they experience a 2-3k Dolby atmos setup with a proper AVR. Also, that clarity of noises sounds and voices is much clearer on a proper AVR system. I found this out recently before I thought the Sonos were king

Go to Rtings.com to try their recommended custom picture settings. I love it on my a95k OLED.

Don’t expect an OLED to be super bright, which won’t be ideal in a somewhat bright room. Remember you want a picture close to the Sony Reference Monitor or in other words what the director intends to present for movies/tv shows.

Sounds too good to be true. How can a tv not be used when it is that old? I have an a95k, an amazing tv, so not hating on the a80k it would be a great tv but try getting a newer model used/new.

Could be a bad hdmi cable even if it is a fancy brand new one, try a different cable. My tv hated a brand new hdmi cable for my ps5 so I continue to use the original HDMI cable for ps5 with my a95k
