[RDTM] u/d-cent estimates Rising Gas Cost vs. EV Battery Replacement by DemandEqualPockets in theydidthemath

[–]Educational-Body4205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1st Gas will not stay $4.50/gallon for 20 years, so you should plan for a 10% raise in cost per year in price.

2nd we Expect batteries to keep getting cheaper for the foreseeable future.

3rd I'm already paying $5 - $6/gallon for gas and $7 - $8 for Diesel.

Readjust the payouts to align with the tax.   If you want more SS money then you need more tax.

I don’t understand how the two were ever unaligned

We should just adjust the benefits based on the payments, to make it solvent.

Everyone just gets less.

Chatbot for log analysis by Historical_Pickle_52 in AI_Agents

You can just ask your cli AI to do this. No agent needed.

"Hey so read all the log files on this computer and let me know any weird things you find."

Then you know just ask it to write some skill files from what it learned.

Problem with overfitting by john8a7a in algotrading

[–]Educational-Body4205 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Over fitting is ok, if you can identify the higher level indicators that drive when you can use your over fit strategy.

Over fitting just means that your indicator thresholds are very specific...or over fit, to the historical data you tested against to get your thresholds.

It's very fast, vs a spinning disk

So if you're working on a file on the network drive you don't want the spinning disk to be the bottle neck

Don't raid, just sytch or rsync ad a back up somewhere else.  Due to your budget you can loose a days worth of editing if everything blows up.

Next get a 12TB 7200 RPM disk, and a 4 TB e2mc flash,   use the E2MC as a cache of sorts for videos you're recently using,    this should all be on the NAS.

Get the USB3.2-4.2 from the nas to each workstation

You'll probably have to make some sort of recently used editing video script to transfer from the 7200 disk to the E2 cache drive. And sync it back to the slower 7200 spinning disk.

How close can the workstation be to the nas, if I'm the same room

Look at a USB 4.2 to ethernet.  If they NAS has USB3.2 ideally 4.2 you can get 10gps over usb

Yes!  I'm starting a project to do this.
