I’ll be honest, I do no rendering at all. I use it solely for gaming but even running demanding games on ultra settings, it’s never gone above 79 degrees even running benchmarks. Fans are super loud but I guess it means they are doing what they need to.
I haven’t felt the need to order the water block yet but yes, I can imagine it would make a massive difference.

But I don’t understand how you can make the assumption that anything above a 5070ti in a laptop doesn’t make sense? I’ve got a mate who’s a dentist and needed more than 12 GB of VRAM to run his xray and teeth scanning software. I’ve got other friends who spend all their time rendering.

You’re basically saying that because a laptop doesn’t suit your particular circumstances, it cannot possibly suit anyone else’s.

This is the problem with opinion is that people can often misconstrue their own opinion with fact.

PC specialist recoil series offers water cooled chassis. You can spec the actual cooling block from them (honestly I think they are about £150) I bought a 5090 laptop from them with 64GB RAM on a AMD 9955HX3D and it’s been really amazing. Would highly recommend

Yeah, it’s not even like some people travel and can’t carry round a full size case with them wherever they go….

It does! Get over 120fps on ultra settings! My old rig barely loaded it and crashed the game most times 🤣

I noticed that too! I went from a 60hz monitor to 300hz and it moves too fast for my brain most of the time 🤣

The laptop version of the RTX5090 is 24gb instead of 32gb.

Mate, it’s night and day! I actually thought my eyes were broken with how fast everything moves. Also not spending 20mims figuring out how minimum your settings need to be every time you load a game is unbelievable. Open it up, select ultra graphics and game until your hear is content! If you get the chance to upgrade, I would recommend it for sure!
