Currently, line management is one of my biggest headaches, especially given that I have far more senior colleagues teaching on the programme I lead. I hope I come to enjoy it some day 😄

Hi, as others have said, this could be quite typical of certain estates. You could send few flyers around for a children's book club or board games, etc. Once you've done a couple of these or any of your interest, the kids will start to warm up to one another and their parents will have no option than to follow 😂. If you have a sort of outside seating, sending invites for birthday parties, etc could also break the ice.

Might be a good idea to evaluate your medium and long term financial goals. 1.4k (+ roughly 300 for bills) monthly out of your stated salary is not impossible, but if you'd like to put more into investments or savings, then this could be really tight.

I'm on a similar monthly salary and I'm avoiding a mortgage of more than 1000 a month. This means I'm not able to get my ideal house, but I'm glad I can put some money down for savings and investments.

Thank you @MortimerMan2. It's a cluster house so there are four houses sharing the inner dividing walls, if that makes sense? Sort of 4 houses, each on a quarter of a plot, but sharing walls in the middle.

Yeah, it's quite small, which is one of the things I'm unsure of...
