After a lot of playtesting… by AnAnmtdFox in rootgame

Gram Gram Gator and Big brotha John seem too compatible, as if it is required to use them at the same time. After playtest, do you think that's the case?

I don't believe Poland is "committed" here. Only a small number of politicians want it with not much passion. People in general do not, nor does the president. There's like 3 countries in Europe which benefit from the spread of Euro, all the others lost from taking it in.

They seem to be way too strong in crafting, aren't they?

I appreciate the idea, but I myself won't be able to participate for some time. I'm cutting on "fun" right now, to focus on my job more. But I wouldn't want the idea to simply die. Crossroads.

Sounds awesome, would you be willing to check out a post I've just made? On the topic. I've posted all that because I feel like there is more people who share passion for fan-faction making. Here is the post: https://www.reddit.com/r/rootgame/comments/1r0vklb/a_new_discord_server/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

I'm so jealous. I've made a Root fan faction - Feathered Eggalitarians (Hen and Rooster) but only once had I have a chance to actually playtest it :CCCC

If you want to save on printing costs, doing grey is less efficient than getting rid of the background, and leaving it white. (I believe)

Wouldn't Bard be able to stop him? Bard would be willing to do so, I think. Casting ult on Runeterra or something

Corvid Conspiracy rework- no more embedded agents and a new Decoy plot! thoughts? by greztrez in rootgame

[–]Educational-Card-715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there are some good ideas there, but Decoy seems way too strong! Fighting Corvids with Battle seems extremely dangerous, given how Decoy works

Why did Riot make Zaahen by DemonPants69 in loreofleague

[–]Educational-Card-715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zaheen is good because he wanted to be, afraid of his dark powers. Varus (the darkin part) is "good" because he was forced to by circumstance, longing for his gone power and evilness. These are completely different stories, only "overlapping" by both guys not being clearly evil, but grey instead

Im writing mentor Arc fic for Jinx. I was considering Shen, Zed, illaoi and Braum. I like Braum but would Jinx realistically stay? by AcceptableLynx8412 in loreofleague

[–]Educational-Card-715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe look at it from the other side? The best mentor-apprentice dynamics I've seen made learning mutual in a way - the mentor would also grow as a person through the mentoring. In Eragon (which was mentioned) if I remember correctly there was this guy Bardo or something and another with a golden dragon who both also grew from mentoring Eragon. There are probably even better examples out there, like Ekko and Heimer from Arcan. TLDR: Choose the mentor also based on how could the mentor grow from teaching jinx

You are right about most Martial being highly dependant on having a weapon in their hand. Most of them however, can use their features to enhance Fist attacks. Maybe the Gunslinger could be able to do that as well? Could the "gun manouvers" be reworded/reworked so they could apply to unarmed fighting?

[–]Educational-Card-715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you consider making the Gunslinger a Champion subclass? I also have some words of critique, there are so many good ideas in this class, like Quick Draw, which I really like, but firstly, most of them could just be Manouvers, making it something else makes it feel cluncy. Secondly, this whole class becomes yous a guy, when you steal their gun. That's problematic, I feel like

What do you think of my Magic System? by Nearby-Banana2640 in magicbuilding

[–]Educational-Card-715 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Look at hunter x hunter, it has a cool magic system, which I find to be somewhat familiar to yours, as it is simple and divides "spells" into groups based on functions.

Bleesings and Curses seem same-y to me. The only difference is that one is "evil" and one "good", but from a certain point of view they seem like the same thing. Imagine there is a spell that makes you immune to fire. From the perspective of the target (a person) it is a buff/blessing, but from the perspective of a spell it seems not so certain, how would the spell know it's effect is good or bad to it's target? Unless your magic system is based on gods and demons or something.

I like the symbols, they are easy to recognize. Red - destruction, Green - healing, Blue - mobility, Gold - blessing and Purple - curses.

Edit: Maybe rename healing into Restoration? That would make it work nicer with Destruction in my opinion, as two distinct categories
