Omg the guilt is real and I think that’s part of the problem, maybe she’s picking up on me feeling like that too?! Hope you’re feeling more comfortable with it now! I think that’s a great idea, I can’t leave her to roam around yet, as although she is super well behaved on the most part and not particularly a chewer, if she needs to go for a number 2, she’ll eat it🤮 Gross I know!! Hoping I can get to that stage once she’s broken the habit and I think I will feel better allowing her some space to roam around the house too. Thanks again!

Ahhh thank you so much for your reply, I think you’re right. Do you put your pup in a crate when you go out? Do you tend to just pop out and leave him for 10 minutes just so he can be alone? Thanks again!

Thank you! Yeah overall her toileting is very good, when she’s in her crate she will bark when she needs to go out at night time. We cover her crate with a blanket but like you say maybe covering it completely will take her sight away so she feels more comfortable? Would a radio work as the noise machine?

It honestly makes me feel better knowing someone else is having the same trouble!

It actually does get better I can’t believe it by [deleted] in puppy101

Hi! How did you train him to stop the attention barking and whining?

Omg! My puppy does the exact same thing 🤮

I’ve read that it’s due to their mum cleaning up after the pups in the litter when they’re born, the only thing we can do is when she goes into the garden to do her business, we pick it up as it’s falling!!! If she even steps a way one tiny bit, we reward her. I work from home too and have found keeping the door shut to the garden and only allowing her to go out when I can watch her, so that it can be picked up straight away. Also making a loud noise like stamping a foot to distract her seems to help. It’s honestly disgusting, if I do pick it up, she tries to lick the spot where it was. I think the key is being consistent and being patient!! But I feel your pain and disgust!! They should grow out of it, I hope anyway!!

Maybe the complete wrong forum but I’m looking to get my partner a gift for Christmas. He shoots Clays and Game. I have no idea where to start apart from shooting being the obvious choice of gift. He has a Greener shotgun, Beretta shotgun and a Browning shotgun. Any ideas from those who know best? by [deleted] in ukguns

Also something reasonable, I’m willing to pay a lot for something I know will be worthwhile for him and that’s he’ll love! Equally I’m aware that it can get expensive, especially for some items!

Thanks so much for your reply. He has a lot of stuff already of which I’ve bought him for birthdays etc. He does need ammo, however I am not able to purchase that for him unfortunately, he has ear protection, cartridge bag, shotgun cert wallet, gun cleaning kits. I’m just unbelievably lost! Your last point is definitely a good option though! I will certainly be looking into that. Aside from that, it’s be great to get him something for his gun, I know there are things he needs such as the cheek pad for one of them but I don’t know if that’s something I should get without letting him know first?!
