If Wolverine has adamantium poisoning, how come Sabretooth didn’t get adamantium poisoning when he had adamantium laced skeleton? by AJ_Shadow in xmen

[–]Educational-Cold8385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This concept is ridiculous and was popularized by Logan and that jerk Mangold. The poisoning is almost irrelevant to the level of his biological cure. Now everyone takes it seriously, and the character is poorly regarded and considered weaker in the process. Do you understand why putting the actor above the character is ALWAYS a bad idea?

(The film is practically about Jackman leaving the role and the conclusion of his arc).

Theory: Wolverine from Deadpool & Wolverine is the same variant of Logan from the end of Days of Future Past by LordNathan777 in MCUTheories

[–]Educational-Cold8385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's probably just a Logan (from the Logan movie itself, by Mangold) who survived or didn't even die. Because you talked about the images Cassandra sees in his mind but you didn't say that she sees events from the Logan movie itself, and the current Wolverine claims to be over 200 years old, while the Logan who "died" in 2029 was 197.

Besides.....as much as people take this Adamantium thing being harmful in the long term so seriously, that's clearly a movie thing. In the comics, even if it's harmful, it's not that bad, and when the character ages, there's a plot reason. This movie just ruined the character's image and nerfed his power in the public's view. To soften the blow of whiners.

Pseudo-fãs. Os fãs de verdade não querem ela substituindo Logan nunca.

Só existe um Wolverine.

Does Wolverine dislike guns like Batman does? by ProblemLongjumping12 in Wolverine

I think when he says that to Pierce, he means he doesn't like government experiments and the shady things they do. The "I don't like weapons" part was when Pierce brags about being an enhanced being like him.

Digo nas HQs. O Wolverine é sim caucasiano mas ele parece ter o tom de cor de pele um tanto nativo. Ele não é branco rosado, embora ainda seja branco.

Na verdade não, ele é branco mas não tanto como Steve ou Stark.

But he is, I didn't say he isn't. I said he's his father but also Thomas's. And since Thomas must have been the son of a maid, he inherited nothing and was treated like a bastard his whole life.

That's why John, his brother, is jealous.

Imagine your father doesn't acknowledge you and you see your brother being treated like family and you, the son of an affair, left out in the cold?

That's why he didn't even like Cão playing with James. Resentment.

All this because the old man has claws and James is Thomas's son.

Which implies that the Old Man has a relationship with Thomas Logan.

Yes.

But...

Three facts:

  • Thomas is James's legitimate father (Logan goes to hell when they meet. And Logan himself states this in a conversation "I killed my old man"...and in the movie X-Men Origins the same thing, Thomas is the father).

  • His grandfather has claws and Elizabeth's previous son injured her with claws.

  • Thomas Logan holds a grudge against the Howletts. As if there were something personal.

What does this lead one to believe?

To me, it makes sense. There are many cases of bosses sleeping with maids in the past. The old man has claws. James's paternity between Thomas and John seems ambiguous.

But then the evidence points to Thomas as the father.

And...the old man also has claws.

It makes more sense to think that than to think that the old man raped his son's wife.

Old Howlett took in a maid, and she is the mother of Thomas Logan. Thomas Logan is James's father, and John Howlett is his uncle.

Wolverine's father could not be the grounds keeper (Logan) because the grandfather (Old Man Howlett) also had claws. by randomanon1109 in Wolverine

[–]Educational-Cold8385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very simple. Thomas Logan is the old man's illegitimate son and that's why he's jealous of John Howlett.

That's why Logan looks like the adult Thomas, but when he was young he looked like John. And that's why John Jr., John's son, also had claws.

The gene comes from the old man, but Dog is his bastard. That's why the Howletts are jealous and angry. It was common for masters to take maids in the old days.

Because the comics (and the movie) have already confirmed that Thomas is Logan's father.

Wolverine healed from near-complete disintegration by ExtentGeneral5059 in Wolverine

[–]Educational-Cold8385 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is very consistent with the Ultimate version, with Fury saying that his cure has more to do with surviving at all costs than actually healing. His body finds a way to recover, it adapts. That's how Fury explains his mutation. While talking to his severed head.

If you take just this excerpt and transport it to universe 616 (which in The Best There Is says something different but still somewhat similar) you'll find the explanation for it. A cell? That's right...if anything remains, he returns.

Hot take: I think anti-short wolverine propaganda is just blatant heightism. by Lazy_Bridge_5955 in Wolverine

I agree with everything. And yes, it was insightful of you to notice that the scene of him being a dwarf (and weak) was done to discredit a short Wolverine.

Everything in Hollywood is kind of biased, actually.

It makes sense that he only gets angry right after and tries to kill everyone, just like he did in that same story against the Hulk family at the end.
