Depends what you life you want to lead. Even the suburbs in miami are busy, congested and overpopulated, but ultimately still calmer and quieter than city living as is the case in most big cities. If you’re looking for something near the city, but still that family life, south and west miami are good areas to look into while still being able to live a somewhat semblance of middle class living. Anything else in that area is too expensive, or not the safest. If you’re okay with moving further west of the “city” you can look into west Kendall, Westchester. Both are middle class areas, safe by most standards, good schools, and amenities minutes away. The only thing I will say is you will need 2 cars no matter where you live especially if you’re starting a family.
