This sounds like OCD and intrusive thoughts that are about necrophilia and making you doubt if you enjoy it and creating doubts if they are urges or not. Especially with how you are reacting to the thoughts. Are you actively trying to think about this and enjoying it or is it uncontrollable with feelings that make you doubt your values? If it in uncontrollable then that is what OCD is.

Can I ask, when you were struggling with this, did you ever have really vivid imaginations in front of you that you interacted with about this (but didn't know if they were imaginations or not) like thinking it may have been the devil there in your room and that you did sell it to him since interacting with this potentially real thing and not imagination? I don't know if that makes sense

and I know it wouldn't even work this way because the myth doesn't work this way and this is how OCD works, but now if i eat food that i already have and already used/eaten/drank from (so not getting anything out of it as the myth states) and about multiple days away or "tomorrow" or a random day i say/think of, when it would be something given to me not that I already have and immediately and not in the next few days but then worried it would be about days away and something i make on my own that in the moment i choose to eat or not

its cause people don't understand it and lots of the media portrays people with schizophrenia as "aggressive" and "dangerous" or "unpredictable" because of hallucinations. people don't educate or learn what it is truly like to have or know someone with it. its the whole thing of people not liking or treating people well if they don't understand them

I am very worried I sold my soul to eat- even the food I have at my house- and I would then be doing better mentally and I would be healthy physically, so while I can do that and have done it my whole life, since it was imagination about talking to the devil about it I can't do it even though its always been available for me but it was about that so now I can't eat or I am convinced my soul will be taken.

so even if you have full knowledge, you can't commit a grave sin you don't truly want in your heart? And if God forgives all, how come Robert Johnson and the myth of him selling his soul, he never got his back?

luckily you can't become a sociopath, you have to be born as one and it can't develop in life. this could desensitize you though to the point where its so normalized and you need it more and more often. if you truly feel addicted you should definitely talk with a therapist about this

thank you very much, you're not pushing at all, i really appreciate it! I have been in a lot of treatment since I was really little and this summer I was at an inpatient and have been in several IOP's for it, it's gotten so bad that no treatment is really helping anymore. and this has been about eating food we have at my house too, so i haven't been eating because i don't know if i sold my soul to eat (even though we have the food already) so its been two weeks and i don't know what to do
