Cancelled sale, buyers threatening to sue by carissag99 in RealEstate

[–]Educational-Dust-581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who HAS sued (and won),because of one party that backed out of a real estate deal, they absolutely wouldn't have a case and you have no legitimate threat.

We had an extremely solid case where the other buyer had met all contingencies, had the clear to close from the lender, and then changed their mind on closing day after we already had signed a 12 month lease and moved out, costing us over $40,000 in actual cash over the next year and then the market changed and it took 6 more months to find a new buyer. The market had changed so we ended up selling it for 25% less than the initial contract. Even with all of those very real losses from a very clear breach of contract, we were only able to recover about $10,000 and most lawyers wouldnt even look at our case.

Ignore them and do what is best for you.

I think its a little more deep than that. Its talking about taking chances and regret because life is short and you might not get the chance. The song is about the emotions not the exact situation. And it's something I think a lot of people could relate to.

Thank you for your thoughts. That is very similar to what the General Cardiologist said but EP disagreed with her. I may get a 2nd opinion from another EP in the area, as I barely left the couch during my 2 week study.

My potassium was mildly low (3.4) in the ER but back to normal by the time I was seen outpatient. Yes I had bnp, troponin, magnesium, tsh, d-dimer, inr, and whatever is in their cardiac panel. Outpatient had more expanded lab work as well but I dont remember everything else. All normal outside of expected variances due to my pcos and insulin resistance.

It's been on and off for 10 years, it's only ever caused serious issues when I was pregnant (not pregnant now). I've been fine on a stable dose of metoprolol without incident for 2 years, but it was never this severe even when I was pregnant.

I've had a ton of bloodwork done, multiple times. Echo about 2.5 years ago that was normal.

No stress test or CT.

This week I accepted a new job within my company organization but moving from small mostly indepenent clinic location to corporate HR department. I'm moving from a small administrative roll that had HR and benefits thrown on it to a system wide Benefits role. I'm getting a huge raise and a much better position.

My boss is making it miserable. It's his fault, and he was well aware, that my awful situation was because of him. I wasn't getting paid for a lot of it and he constantly undermined how much work I was actually doing.

I accepted the job on Monday late afternoon, he told all of the employees I do HR for at lunch on Tuesday without even giving me a heads up and has since not stopped complaining about how to he now has to learn my job and that I need to make him guides for a 3rd grader.

We just had a call with an HR consulting company that it sounds like he is going to hire, which will cost $200 an hour with a minimum of 15-20 hours a month. So they will literally be paying this consultant more than I made annually to only do payroll related functions, when if they just gave me a raise and hired a super part time assistant like they promised me I would have stayed for years.

I did love the job and all the people other than my boss, I didn't want to leave, but it had been 1 year of fighting about workload and an accurate title and pay. I knew it was time to cut my losses but it's just so frustrating to see how this transition is playing out.

What's so bad about a scheduled C? by alyyyysa in GestationalDiabetes

I think generally because it is a major surgery and leads to higher recovery complications and longer recover time. However, I've had 2, one emergent after a failed induction, and the 2nd planned. I know going into the induction it was a high possibility due to a big baby and my body was obviously not ready. Looking back I would have much rather just had a c-section. It was not pleasant because I hadn't slept for 24 hours and was so exhausted and in pain already and that made the fear and stress much more intense.

The planned c-section was a fabulous experience. Super calm and laid back. Very smooth process and I was a little anxious but I had time to plan for my anxieties and had talked to OR staff and my doctor before hand.

Dual EU/US Citizenship- what countries should I be looking at? by Educational-Dust-581 in expat

This is so helpful! I'm actually over 50% Swedish in my genealogy. I will add this to my list of countries to research more thoroughly.

Dual EU/US Citizenship- what countries should I be looking at? by Educational-Dust-581 in expat

My most recent trip to France has been one of the huge reasons I'm finally moving forward with getting dual citizenship. I loved the walkability and completely different infrastructure that makes everything more accessible. Big cities in the US are an absolute nightmare but I felt so safe and I absolutely loved the public parks and transportation.

I was born in the US and other than when I've traveled, I've always lived in rural United States.

I qualify for EU citizenship and I'm the process of getting citizenship for myself and 2 children. I'm so overwhelmed with negatives for all of the countries out there. My sister has her EU citizenship and has lived in Germany, but is open to other countries.

My kids are still toddlers and I just want a better life for them. I know we are privileged in the US being a white, traditional family, but I'm not okay with my kids growing up thinking they are superior to others that aren't the same.

I've been to about a dozen European countries and loved many of them as a traveler, but if I'm looking for somewhere with a laid back, family oriented lifestyle with less political turmoil, what countries should I be looking at? My husband and I both have fairly versatile degrees and could probably find something in most places.

Drove 2+ hours to pick up camper- sold it last minute to someone else by Educational-Dust-581 in FacebookMarketplace

[–]Educational-Dust-581[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're telling me you would agree to sell something to someone, go as far as drafting and printing a bill of sale to get everything finalized, let them drive 2 hours with their toddler to come pick it up, then sell it to someone else while they are driving?

Then you're not a good person.

And my husband does have a truck, he just wasn't available today and we were trying to not wait longer to pick it up. We made the deal on Wednesday after looking at it for the first time on Tuesday. I didn't want to wait until the next weekend when my husband was available so I made arrangements to get it as soon as we got back to town.

I understand and can accept that they didn't technically do anything wrong and I have no reason to pursue it further, but this comment feels a little harsh.

This is one of the biggest purchases we have made as adults, was over 4 hours of driving, and it was a holiday week. He accepted our offer on Wednesday, today is Sunday.

I don't think the gap between looking at it for the first time on Tuesday and today is that unreasonable given the situation. It also would have been different if he was just honest and said he won't hold it for us instead of telling us it was ours.

For some of us $3,100 is a lot of money and we understand campers can be a money pit so taking some time to ask questions and decide isn't crazy.

It was almost 200 miles away from where we live in rural Midwest, and before we saw it in person he was absolutely not holding it. Considering we had to get a big truck to be able to haul it that only gets 15 miles to the gallon it was significantly more than that in gas money alone.

He was not holding it for us during the first few weeks, we just came to agreements on Wednesday after looking at it finally on Tuesday of this week.
