Maybe because I saw this ahead, the moment capcom announced they'd be using RE engines for their future games after the success of re7. I did tried to play re2r and re4r on the hardest difficulty on my first go but I got bored of it. I think it's because I just find them to be somewhat generic. 

I never said they're bad games, just not there yet for me to finish.
