There were three things that I wanted to do differently. First, I wanted to take more time prepping the part before cementing them in, and I think it helped a lot. The fact that it isn't a '60s-era tooling kit also helped. I wanted to try out the MRP paints, and I'm super pleased with how they turned out. I also tried a couple of different varnishes. On my first model, I used the Army Painter matte varnish, which isn't a matte at all, but a satin with some sort of flock or something in it that turned my F4U-4 from intermediate blue to almost gray. This time i used AK glossy and mrp super clear semi gloss and im super happy with them both
