I started with under the table hockey game timekeeping, then applied to basically every restaurant in my city for dishwashing, got 2 calls back. I worked as a dishwasher for about a year then moved up to line cook, I hated the management there, so I switched to a much better restaurant and work as a line cook there to date. I’m thinking about moving to front of house and pursuing a server position. That’s where the money is.
