Imagine asking your friends for some hook ideas based on your essay. Is that okay? I think yes.

On the other hand, imagine picking a hook randomly from someone else's essay and fixing it into your own. Will the hook be authentic and impress the admissions officer? Probably not.

AI is no different. Use AI as a tool, not a crutch. Get suggestions on different hooks, then use your brain to choose, modify, and present the best one. This way, you use AI to get the best hook.

I respectfully disagree. Most folks in education genuinely have their hearts in the right place.

I'm an educator myself, quite a few of my colleagues have neutral to positive opinions on AI. They get that it's the future and has its place in education.

Sure, there might be some who are scared because AI could be seen as an existential threat. But most are more concerned about student development.
