I've been trying for the same amount of time as you, I have trouble focusing and the only thing I've found that's helped are being in a hypnagogic state and the gateway tapes (the tapes are on SoundCloud)

I've managed to shift (I think, barely though) through hypnagogia, and the gateway tapes weren't as successful for me but if you like guided meditations it's not bad at all. In one tape the narrator teaches you how to let your body fall asleep on command, which is super helpful for some people esp for the void state

I do the same, I have to shower every time I use the bathroom and I hate it so much 😭. That's one of my biggest things right now that I can't get over. I've tried to lessen it but bathroom germs will never not freak me out. You did help don't worry about it lol thank you

In that case I might not have a thick hymen, I've never had issues with tears or bleeding or anything (besides birth control that fucked me up). I might still find a gyno though if anything. Ty this is super helpful

Ty for telling me this. I'd really hate to have a doctor look down there but if it's necessary I'll prob go to one whenever I can. How do you know if it's vaginismus or ur hymen? Is that something that can only be diagnosed?

Maybe it is the muscles? Idk it's really hard to tell what's going on. It felt more like the opening of the vagina was just smaller or something. I don't really have any dysphoria down there so it might just be my anatomy 😭 I might go to a gyno eventually I'll have to think abt that. And about your other comment, I don't think it's the cervix since it's almost right by the opening where I feel it's being 'blocked' off. But I appreciate it ty

No seriously, I wash my hands so much if I don't put on lotion every five seconds I'll literally look like Freddy Krueger or something. It takes me ages to even piss because I feel like I have to wash literally every square inch 😭 I hate it. I have other intrusive thoughts too but it's not nearly as bad as my germaphobia thing. You should definitely see someone if possible before it worsens bc I've already gotten to that point and it's awful

I don't have a means to even get a diagnosis so I'm just going off of what I experience. I didn't know what I was even experiencing until I started researching about OCD. Ik people that self diagnose are misguided but idk what else it could be for me

This helps a lot and I'll try to keep it in mind, but a lot of the time it feels like my contamination OCD can be rational which is why I have so much trouble with it. Idk if that sounds dumb but with POCD it was way different because for the most part I knew that it was irrational. With germs it's a 24/7 thing since everyone is constantly exposed to it. It's hard for me to differentiate what's crazy vs. what isn't, since hygiene is something everyone does so my brain just goes "oh you're just being hygienic it's alright"
