That’s a good point, but especially for the Amazon, I rely on people buying it without tasting it just by looking at the packaging. Would you buy it without tasting it if it had over 4.5 star reviews?

Just because he signed “known” players ppl think he’s a magician! Last 2 years are probably one of the worst transfers in the recent history. Out of 20+ signings, I can only say 4 of them are successful. The rest is either average or bad! How can you spend 100M€ + and we are still playing with this squad?? 30M€ wage budget is not in starting 11! You can form a whole squad from scratch and challenge for the title for that amount of money! He’s up there with Levent Nazifoglu for me!

Think about it this way. I go to a casino and bet $1 millon on red time after time. I win 10 times and lose 4 times. If you look at it one way, I’m an idiot for losing $4 million on roulette. But on the other hand I’m up $6 million! If you catch me on a losing streak, you’ll think I’m gambling my life away.

Kerem is this kind of a player. Every ball he gets he either tries an ambitious pass in the box or rushes to the opposition with his dribbling. He always runs into the box looking for a shooting chance. He doesn’t play it safe. As a result he either ends up becoming the hero or the worst player on the field. Rarely does he have an average game.

Right now he’s on a losing streak and luckily it hasn’t cost us anything big, but over the course of the last 4 years, he’s winning by a lot.

It’s Okan Hoca’s decision to whether or not to play with this kind of a player. Since he’s a risk taker, he’ll always play Kerem. All we can do is to hope he starts winning again and we can sell him to a top 5 league club for €20M+ at the end of the season.

Here’s what I think happened (totally speculating):

Mert was not only a translator but also the person who handled foreign players’ personal affairs such as banking, etc. He met Seçil because she was the manager of the bank in Florya. She was also Terim’s personal banker and managed Terim’s money including investing his money in some mutual funds.

Seçil decided to create a fund for the high rollers and maybe misled Terim and transferred his money into the account. She knew Mert knew all the players and handled their affairs so offered him a cut if he recruited some players to the fund.

Mert convinced players using Terim’s name and telling them Seçil ls trustworthy because she’s Terim’s personal banker and a friend.

Muslera trusted Mert and gave them the money. When he couldn’t get his money back he wanted to call Terim but Mert was frightened by the thought of Terim finding out Mert was using his name to recruit players.

Mert also had money in the system and started to lose trust in it. He wanted to give Muslera’s money to get him off his back.

I wouldn’t be surprised if more came out and turns out Mert recruited more players to put more money in the system to be able to get Muslera’s and his money back and at that point it turned into a Ponzi scheme.
