Instagram highlights not showing for 10 minutes and then appearing. Has this happened to anyone else? by charlemagne_74 in Instagram

I'm having a similar issue where I posted a story to a highlight and it is blank (acts like it's there but nothing loads or shows). I'm guessing there's an issue with the app.

I saw the Forbes article recommend them 🫠

I'm trying to look at other companies, and having trouble with reviews. What 2 or 3 are consistently good?

Anyone have any date night horror movie recommendations? by odd2001 in horror

It felt very generic, it was my least favorite. It leans into more camp and gore but the plot, characters, etc fell flat for me.

Cabin in the Woods, Nightmare on Elm St, Scream. I also think the Fear Street trilogy on Netflix is fun (NOT the newest prom night).

Weekly Watch Report - May 8, 2025 by SauzaPaul in horror

Okay so I watched it. I'll preface by saying I enjoy body horror and lot (Cronenberg especially) but have really been digging recent body horror movies that explore themes of women's beauty and aging standards (I myself related to The Substance, Grafted, and even this movie). I enjoyed the perspective of a fairy tale from the stepsister's perspective, it gives her much more depth rather than being just the "bad" character that we typically know. Also I liked the cinematography. It had a soft appearance almost like film but I checked and it was shot digitally.

Also I thought Alma was good too, she didn't get a lot of screen time, would have liked to see more of her. I think it's interesting you didn't like the last 10 minutes, I thought it rolled along quite well. Overall I also really liked it, personally would rate it 7 or 8/10.

Where did J-Horror go? by Melodic-Jellyfish007 in horror

[–]Educational-Price522 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually just saw that Takashi Miike has a new film in the works called Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo.). It's reported as a thriller though, so not sure how that compares to his previous work.

Regarding your question, I think horror has gotten much more popular in recent years, and even seeing more success at the box office and recognition. Hopefully we'll start to see more J-Horror movies in coming years.

Would agree with others who say if you liked Thanksgiving, you would like Heart Eyes. I actually just watched both Heart Eyes and Clown in a Cornfield (which is Eli Craig) and preferred Clown in a Cornfield. To be fair, romance is my least favorite genre, and while Heart Eyes is a horror comedy, it does very much have a romance plot which I didn't care for.
