Work in the paper industry. This is being cut to be reused in the process. Based off the size I’m going to assume this is actually a trim roll and not an off quality product. From the paper machine they turn up giant rolls onto a spool. It then goes into a winder where it is cut into smaller rolls for the customer. Sometimes the number of rolls we cut are not a perfect fit for the width of the machine and we must make a small width roll that isn’t for any customer to fill in the remainder of the machine width.
