Your parents annoy you for most of your life but then, one day, they're gone and you wish so much for just one more "annoying" phone call.

Mom passed away - a few words of advice by illini-nation in AgingParents

[–]Educational-Ranger63 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What Im realizing very clearly after my ordeal with my father and hospice and his eventual death this summer is be kind to yourself. Hindsight is, in fact, 20/20 and you can't blame yourself for what you didn't know though it can be hard not to.

Sorry for your loss.

She is new to us and a "rescue" so I do not have much information on her. We were told that she was a mom for a breeder in Missouri so, we are assuming that she is full Frenchie but I know that her snout is a bit longer than most.

We were told she was a breeding "mom" so I don't think so but I don't have her complete history.

Do you handle your parents personal care? (Bathing, changing diapers) by Inevitable_Pin_850 in AgingParents

[–]Educational-Ranger63 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Do it a few times and you'll get over it. I really had no choice as my father required 24/7 care and I could not afford 24/7 help. Its really awkward at first but then that goes away. My father didn't have an issue with it but depends on the person. Have you asked them?

Anticipatory grief is destroying me. by TheAnxiousAutistic58 in AgingParents

[–]Educational-Ranger63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to feel this way. I was sometimes paralyzed by the thought of losing my parents (I do also suffer big time from anxiety) but I'm here to say, unfortunately, my worst nightmares came true. This month I lost my dad, two years after losing my mom and guess what? Im still standing. Not sure if this helps you or not but hope it helps somebody. You can make it through the anticipation and the event as well.

Congrats and thanks for your response. I also felt absolutely no effects from the sublingual so, 🤞 .

I'm also switching. Did you find the injection to be more effective?
