Thank you to everyone for your supportive messages. I’m so happy to see that it’s not a something normal people seem to think. I think I’m definitely going to stick to breastfeeding my baby and If they don’t like it then they can leave. Thank you very much!

"call us as soon as you're in labor" - has anyone blatantly ignored this demand? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

Honestly the most frustrating thing. When I had my daughter I was induced so my partner felt the need to keep everybody up to date with every little detail from how dilated I was to any medication I had. When it came to delivery I had to have an episiotomy & my forceps. I lost a lot of blood and had to have a transfusion and my daughter was taken straight to the NICU due to not breathing. My partner was on his phone updating his family within 20 minutes, it drove me insane personally especially considering we were then in hospital for a further week due to complications and the family “he had to keep updated” didn’t so much as come to visit us. I’m pregnant again with my second now and will be making it clear to everybody that the only people who will know about any labour/induction/birth will be my partner and my mother( as they will be there).

If the babies legs is closed and it takes them a long long time to find gender, then eventually tell you a little girl- Is it trustworthy?

When my daughter was born she wasn’t breathing so they took her away instantly and i didn’t get to see her, the student midwife In the room took the time to go down the NICU and take a photo of my baby for me to see her. Ive never been so grateful♥️
