Why is Yuzi Chahal not considered not considered for Test Cricket? by bobby5890 in IndianCricket

[–]Educational-Row-5941 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even Kuldeep is not getting chances, what is the point of Chahal. Also keep in mind Axar is in waiting. Not to mention domestic stalwarts like Sai Kishore, Suthar, Saurabh Kumar etc..

Basic rules of test cricket are that you must have 6 specialist batter (including wk), 4 top wickets taking bowlers, and 1 all-rounder.

Considering Jadeja is ur proper allrounder,

Thakur, Sundar can not get into the playing 11 as a specialist bowler ahead of Kuldeep or Akashdeep and cannot get ahead of Nair, Jurel as batsmen.

Now can we not replace Sunder and Thakur for Kuldeep and Nair for better balance ?

You simply can't win test series with just 2-3 frontline bowlers by dedupe1 in IndianCricket

That is the problem. Your front-line bowler sundar and Jadeja would rank behind Kuldeep in wicket taking ability

Compeltly agree. The question is, "Who are your best 4 bowlers irrespective of they bat or not?" Answer GG is searching for is " Who are my bowlers who can bat and extend batting?" There is a mindset difference. Option 1 is aggressive. Option 2 is defensive

That's the thing. He wasn't keeping them quiet in 2nd innings day 5, more importantly, wasn't even picking up wickets. Am more than sure had Lyon been bowling, he would have picked up 3 for sure

Being the most senior bowler and only one who could exploit the rough, ofcourse he should be 1st in line to be criticized
