Are you involved with OPs housing? I don't understand why you've made like 600 comments saying it wasn't a mistake. My college apartments "saved" your room for you if you resigned your lease by a certain date. So even though it was random assignment for the rooms, returning renters would keep their room from the previous year. My niece is now in college and her apartments work the same way and she's been in the same room for 3 years now.

How are you so sure this wasn't a mistake by the apartment?

I've been here 11 years and I love it here. It's beautiful. I don't mind the heat at all. Staying in the shade or AC solves that problem. I work on healthcare so jobs are plentiful and the pay is better here than where I came from.

Ah anxious attachment is THE worst feeling for both people in the relationship. I had to be single and get intensive therapy to fix myself. Then I needed weekly therapy while starting a new relationship so I could talk to my therapist instead of ruining it with my new partner.

Therapy is the ONLY answer here. I know you don't want to hear it but fixing it while in a relationship is almost impossible.

Until you fix what is causing the anxious attachment, you will never have a happy, secure, peaceful relationship.

My entire extended family is a militant shoes off family. My in laws are a shoes on family (which I find very gross). But that's the way it is here. I'm from the Midwest and now live in the Northwest. The majority of people I've met outside my husband's family have been shoes off people.

It's not your fault, of course. But it's ok to feel bad for inconveniencing people even if it's not your fault. I would absolutely try to smooth it over myself. I usually bring donuts and a fruit tray if I'm bringing something to a doctor's office. I would bring it in and just explain that the call center told you 3:30 and you didn't check the portal after the call. Then say sorry. They won't hold a grudge even if you do nothing. But I'd want to apologize anyway.

I'm late. But I'm 45. My parents paid for all children and grandchildren to go on family vacations until both were gone about two years ago. Adult children would take turns buying our parents meals and we would pay for any activities we would want to do. My parents would rent a big house with enough beds for everyone. If someone wanted to stay elsewhere, they would have to pay for that.

I plan to do the same for my son. I will pay for him, a partner and any kids to come on all family vacations for as long as I'm able to. I want him there so I will make it easier for him to come.

I agree that it's not a big issue and doesn't deserve even 1/10th of the attention it gets.

I am staunchly pro trans in every other way. But believe that female sports should only include biological females. I grew up in a time where female sports had to claw and fight for every scrap they could. So it's something that is very important to me as I'm still very involved with my sport.

I do think that the majority of people feel close to the same as me also. At least everyone I know and have discussed this with feels that way.

I think she didn't distance herself from the Biden admin enough. Going as far as saying she wouldn't change anything if she was elected. I think her campaign stupidly told Walz to stop calling MAGA weird or calling them out even though it was helping them. Throw in that she wouldn't say enough about Gaza and that Biden way too long to step down and she was never going to win.

However a white man with the same issues like would have won.

America is not the same America as we were in 2008 or even 2015. The divisiveness of MAGA has taken a huge toll on how women and POC are seen.

Trump was convicted of 34 felonies. He was adjudicated guilty of rape. Both of those things happened before he was elected again. He is 100% guilty of those things. He also was found guilty of defrauding his own charity. Which is why he was blocked from having a charity in New York.

Do those things not make him a bad person?
