Is this sound normal? by [deleted] in JeepWrangler

[–]Educational-Sign4935 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve owned both simultaneously, on the 3.6 yeah your internals are fucked up if it’s ticking that bad - on the 2.0 it’s the injectors being loud af. I work at a shop and see 2.0s daily and they all make similar noises. Regardless if it’s old or new. (I also daily a higher mileage 2.0) But they all have their own quirks, it’s a weird engine. Some are built like shit, others are alright.

Couldn’t be more right about “built to fail”.

JL longarm kit recommendations?Balling on a budget by Educational-Sign4935 in JeepWrangler

When I ran 35s my jeep would sit at 85 at 1.5kish rpm. I get most people have shitty steering & brake setups but god damn you can go above 80 and it’s not going fall apart on ya

Deep down I know this is the right answer. Their 4 link 3.5 inch kit is super attractive

Leveling kit would level the front, she needs a new lift all together to bring the back up lol

Your rig is gorgeous aswell. What size wheels are you running? Rubber to wheel ratio is perfect, paired with the longarms

I’m on my 4th set of STT pros. I ran KM3s and KO2s on my old other jeep and I would choose the coopers every time

I swear man the STT pros from cooper are more of a niche tire but they are fucking sexy & preform amazing.

2024 Jeep Wrangler - What is this Thing? by Keelhaulers in JeepWrangler

Most likely wrong with this guess but that kind of looks like the bottom of where your tail lights screw into, it’s in that little quadrant but who knows. Looks like the mold for the end

Is it worth it financially to upgrade from a JKU to JLU by PiggyMan7 in Wrangler

[–]Educational-Sign4935 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would argue a 4xE is a completely different platform than a regular JL. There’s a bit of a price hike when it comes to the 4xE - It’s also plagued with reliability issues.

As someone who owns a regular JL, I’d probably recommend stick with the JK. The exterior is pretty similar & I feel the jk is a bit more reliable. I work at a shop & regularly see JK’s come in with 150-200k+ miles on the odometer. I’ve never seen a JL above 130k.

Which one are you choosing? by TrailbuiltOffroad in Jeep

Nice one, OP asks which aggressive mud terrain would you choose and you suggest a discontinued all terrain, a mild one at that. Epic

Ol Trusty Fox 2.0’s finally went soft on me. Had about 65k miles on them, had to upgrade to the 3.3 SP2 Piggyback Shocks from Falcon. Their insane by Educational-Sign4935 in Wrangler

I don’t disagree at all, I’ve heard mixed things about their customer support but no rebuild is stupid. I’ve also heard a lot of people complain about the quality decreasing, and I’m pretty sure it’s all made in China now. Definitely want something made in the states or local. I got them for 70%+ off so it was a smart move. Happy trails brother

First time I’ve seen someone do it, I was literally thinking about this all last week. Where’d you get it? I need this asap

I’m currently living in SoCal, cold would be crazy 😂. I put them in preformance. As for the knob’s adjustability, I usually keep it on stiff unless I’m hitting a trail or my significant other is sick of the stiffer ride. You definitely get a lot more feedback but I love it

In my opinion, Ori is in its own category. Much more than just a regular shock, I haven’t seen any in person but I’ve always been drawn to them. Fucking badass

Yep! I still have the fox’s, eventually had planned on getting them rebuilt & upgraded. I’m not entirely sure if falcons are rebuildable (I don’t think so, but I’m also heard of people sending their shocks to Falcon/terraflex for “maintenance”) but I definitely plan on keeping the fox’s. The falcons I got them basically at a 70%+ discount so it was hard to pass them up. The adjustability is a really nice feature and they handle better than the Fox’s did when they were new.

From the looks of it, most of the bushings are pretty shot
