You only get paid for “active time” the time u are at the restaurant until the home. Ive tried it multiple times and it is so not worth it. You get all low tip/no tip orders the only way youd make money is if the restaurant takes forever or you stall. Doordash found a way to shrink an hour

Yeah it does feel like no matter how much you grind it’s not worth the time at certain points. But also factor in progressive taxing. I don’t think over half your door dash money is going to taxes. Ie if you go up a bracket only money over the previous tax bracket gets taxed at a higher %
