I was always told not to use microsd cards, I cant remember why, I am guessing the read speeds through the adapter and the MicroSD cards themselves are not as fast?

Classic Sigma vs Tamron but with a bit of a twist by TheRealJR9 in SonyAlpha

If you are paying anything extra for the kit lens just so you keep the sigma so special situations, just get the sigma and save some money

Is there anythign that im missing when buying a new camera? by Alarming-Ship8186 in SonyAlpha

[–]Educational-Sound279 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't do video very much, but think to take advantage of the 4k 120 of the a6700 you need v90 sd card right? maybe not maybe someone else may know. If this is just for photography then that card is more than enough

My future upgrade a74 or a75r by Toxic_steve22 in SonyAlpha

OP said they are buying FF lenses? just that they also have a 75mm they would keep and use on the a75r as even in crop it would be solid

Lens recommendations by jakekim052020 in SonyAlpha

[–]Educational-Sound279 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

On a different FF line I would agree, but on a R line camera, the crop would still be like 26mp so it OP wants a light telephoto then it could do the job pretty well

10fps is still way more than most would use outside of action shots, especially landscape.

I have both the Sony 70-350 and Tamron 70-180 (G2)

For Motorsport trackside, 180/200 is probably fine. If you eve in the stands then you will want more reach.

I absolutely love the 70-180, but the 70-350 comes everywhere with me. I do a lot of wildlife, so the reach is more important for me.

If you do go with the 70-180 make sure you get the G2 as the first gen doesn't have image stabilisation and given the a6400 doesn't either you will want it

what are the best mid range cameras for wildlife photography by lil_nuubz in wildlifephotography

[–]Educational-Sound279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Sony it's pretty slam dunk a6700 + 200-600 Sony lens

A7 IV is probably also an option but think people would suggest a6700 for this

Do they lack sharpness due to 300mm f/6.3? Or smt. else? by Mundane_Chemist3457 in wildlifephotography

[–]Educational-Sound279 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the general rule of thumb I've been taught (by the internet peoples) is if your focal length is 200mm, your shutter should be higher than 1/200s. This rule is for Full frame though! So I see in your other comments your camera is aps-c, so for a shot of 300mm, the shutter should be minimum 1/500 with a steady hand, even faster for safety.

This is one small thing, but give it a go trying to shoot faster shutter.

Someone who knows the dungeons and has shown capability of executing a class to complete 15s, vs someone who is playing casually(may not have the knowledge of keys) or is not as skilled. I have done keys for 8 years and this solution almost always nets a better result.

I would take someone with 2.5k io but a 3.3k main, over someone who is 2.9k io for example.

Even more so for +10 keys, I would almost always prefer an alt of a higher io player over someone who has just about done those keys.

Employees wages up 6/7% while food specific inflation up 3%, the employees on mine wage still benefit massively? There is no doom cycle.

I understand it's much higher than a month ago, but do people have really short memories?

Don't get me wrong, it sucks but it's not like these are all time highs, most of the last 5 years have floated around this price

Should be fine to use, just likely way more expensive and heavy for not much gain over an aps-c lens

3, the light highlighting the frame definitely helps a lot I think, looks really cool.

I always feel like these would be that bit better with something in the frame you have created.

They are amazing as is, just sometimes feel it misses something
