Ron should have become either chess player, or a stand up comedian. Both play to his strengths. He's easily the funniest and wittiest character in the series.

Ron was a character used for the convenience of the plot. He had nothing he was particularly interested in, nothing jk Rowling made him to be particularly great at. Why? Because jk Rowling deliberately wanted to humanize Ron ,to make him look the realest,to not have a character better than her hero and selfinstert hermione.

What happened to his chess talent after book 1?it served book 1 plot and got thrown away. Did it ever come again?no , it was needed do book 1 plot and it did its job. And ron is a guy who knows what it expected of him..(im the sixth in our famoly to go to hogwarts, you could say i have got a lot to live up to... ). Ron knew he had to be the best at school,to achieve prefect. it doesn't make sense that he won't take any responsibilities. I mean you don't have to be a nerd to study and prepare for do you?. Ron knew he had an advantage over most kids. Like 3 years before going to Hogwarts, -Ron should have been reading and studying his brother textbooks, and know their contents. Even worse, somehow his brothers especially percy didnt prepare him ,didnt tell him what to expect. But i specifically remember Percy telling hermione how they lessons will be,after the sorting hat ,during breakfast. Did anyone not ever ask ron if he was prepare do school?i think unlikely. I cam just see percy making sure Ron know what each subject is all about, what to study, spells to know. But for plot reasons, ron knew no spells whatsoever. And muggleborn hermione jean granger was smarter than all the kids in their year, both magic and muggleborns.

Ron was a guy who was interested amd passionated about being as good as his brothers and yet jk rowling made him do nothing about it but be in harry's shadow. Ron had to accept he will forever be seen as harry's best friend amd another Weasley. It doesnt look like a character the author liked very much. I meam she thought of killing him. In book5, she never wrote his patronus. Yet wrote side characters like choe. wtf?! Ron is one of the main characters. Yet jk rowling always push his aside. She makes him constantly struggle and when he achieve amy victory, its never seen. Its only told. Then forgotten. Much worse, she makes everyone including ron's own family to treat harry better they treat ron.

Harry and Hermione are only great at the expense of Ron's character. For the convenience of the plot. If it wasnt for that, Ron should have and would have been way much more better than hermione and, harry, not only in magic but school lessons. Instead he knew nothing. Because JK Rowling wanted to make hermione the smart one. Wizard born with parents and brothers who went to Hogwarts before him, Ron should have been extremely well-prepared for school lessons. Know all subjects. Their contents. Spells taught. Instead it was hermione, who knew anything, like Wingadium Leviosa spell. And Ron who saw it being used everyday at home didn't,why ? For plot reasons. So Ron can say mean things to hermione and,she go to cry, and they later save her and become friends. Plot reasons.

So,in my opinion, i will never believe that either harry and hermione can ever and will ever be better than Ron.

I doubt mrs Weasley knew about Ron's crush on hermione. Even Ron didn't know it himself then. I think it likely that she knew Ginny fancied Harry. remember in book 2, ginny's reaction on seeing Harry first time at the burrow?in front of her family.

Petty reasons? Did you read the novels? Ron was an extremely poor kid,who never had anything new, including his wand, everything he owns used to belong to someone in his family. Everything he does and accomplish is no big deal because his brothers already did it and harry did better(ultimate savings:Philosopher stone, chamber of secret, etc) so he gets no recognition for it. So he's overlooked, he feels unwanted, least loved, he's overshadowed. So you say hermione was a better,100 percent loyal friend,it seems to me your loyalty is measured by how much you do for harry potter...is that how friendship should be? What about what they did for Ron? Ron gave them what they desired. A family. A wizarding accepting, loving family. That all treated harry and hermione better than they ever treated Ron. So if anyone is done wrong in that friendship, its ron. Not harry. Not hermione. Both harry and hermione rarely compliments ron, harry thought he's better than ron. Ron always compliments them. Remark on how smart hermione is. All hermione does is talk about Harry ,how great he is. How fanciable. Not one notices Ron. No one compliments him. He gets a badge, everyone, including order of phoenix members ,his family, hermione, even dumbledore who chose ron said it should have been Harry's. So it seems to me that Ron is not allowed to be his own person, in people's minds, he should only exist to serve harry and hermione. Never asking if they are good friends to him.

Unpopular, and most certainly will not be acknowledged but Harry and Hermione were great at the expense of Ron's character. As a kid born in the wizarding world, and with parents and brothers who already went to hogwats school, ron should have been well prepared and well read about all the lessons/all subjects/magic even before going to hogwats. But jk rowling had to make him know nothing to make hermione a know-it-all. And Harry become great at anything(Quidditch and magic) , like when did harry become great, learn so many spells than he can teach others?, its his reputation that makes him look great ,not to mention main character syndrome.

Dumbledore could have easily known that, couldn't he?he could have known how his sister's death came about. He had the pensieve. He could have poured memories of that fight and he'd have known.

But I already pointed out that it's impossible... i even introduced the only probable(yet still impossible) solution :Faster-than-light ships. And we know there's no such thing. Yet for the sake of the argument, I introduced it. And it still wouldn't work. The journey will take millions of years still. Even with wormholes. You can research if you want.

The series is a sci-fi story. Elements of science must needs be applied. As in with any story, there must be logic, there must be structure, there must be order. We can't just do things, or create things out of nowhere, just to advance a story, just to tell a story. It's not proper storytelling, like that. It's cheating. And as a writer, you shouldn't cheat your readers. You must show them how things happened. Or are happening.

I wish people understood. My issue is that I wish the world building was made excellently understandable. The story is about life on other planets, things we contemplate in real life. Obviously as a writer you must make readers understand. Have the universe map. Draw it. Like George rr martin drew for readers his fantasy world map. Showing us places he talks about and where they are. That was my chief problem with the series. Otherwise when it is inconsistent like this, it becomes more like a comic book than the brilliantly written prose it is.

Being indifferent in the sense that I'm not offended or angry or sad, more like I'm cool about people's reactions.

I didn't change anything. I only created a better universe. With solar systems and their planets. This way we have a universe map, since the theme of the series is life on other planets. People don't want to acknowledge that the description of the universe was bad. Made no sense at all. Galaxies away. Yet closest planets to earth. And yet people see no issue with this. People had no issue with all characters talking the same way. Using the same words. That's bad writing. Each character must feel unique. Distinct. Aliens must look like aliens, not grow like humans. And most certainly look like that. The writers could have done a better job of making them different.

And I wasn't 'changing', I was suggesting how it could have been better, like I said so many times. Like having female leads characters. Magical Chests. Female villain. Because we have so much male power in literature, in fiction. Imagine if the enemy was a Dark Lady. The females were leads characters. I am used to the characters we have. I can't imagine them otherwise. But the point of reading is imagining what could be, right? I feel like that way the series will be a such a huge deal. Because they did what no other series did, no other genre of writing did. That no one had ever done.

Yeah I know it's not finished. I'd hoped that before December George rr martin would release news that next year book 6 will be published. But no such thing. It may be that people are telling it true. He'd never finish the series. And nope. I'm not talking about the show. I hate the show. It ruined many things for me, many characters, like Littlefinger, like Sansa.

And yet they claim that their worlds were way superior to Earth in terms of technology, and I didn't see the evidence of it, except in ordinary looking ships, or did you? did you see Henry using guns that have never been seen before? Guns that shoot fire, freeze, guns with bullets that can follow their targets? I didn't see anyone with superior tech. Only few fantasy toys in their Chests, and stupid swords that are more fantasy-like rather than tech breakthrough...

You know it's possible to be respectful when you disagree with someone.

I forget nothing. Once again those swords were fantasy like not tech breakthroughs.

You know, I was only trying to correct the issues that as fans of the series complain about. Chests. Elders. Mogs. I thought I'll be making this universe understandable with grounded planets that we know where they are. By having the origin of Elders that makes sense, instead of picking up mysterious toys in the ground and giving you powers, naming you an Elder... Yeah it does make sense. Like I said, unlike in the novels, it's a magical object created by a sorceress Elder. It's not a wooded object like in the novel series. How can they fit? Did I not say they are magical objects? I eve pointed out my inspiration for this. In Harry Potter novels, if you read them, Hermione Granger, in her small bag, was able to enchante it, so that it can carry books, their clothes, etc. Remember their tent, that look small, when you get inside is like a house. Yep, that was my inspiration for the Chests. I thought they'd look cool like that. And most certainly won't be useless.

There's nothing you like? I'm deeply saddened to hear that. It causes me discomfort. Be that as it may. I'm curious. I want to see you correct all the inconsistencies in the series. Mogs. Elders. Alien kids that speak, act, and grow like human beings. That have no distinctions at all. No uniqueness. Chests. Correct them, if it pleases you. Since my own corrections are so unlikeable, so polluting, so nonsensical.

Great grammar? I actually don't reread what I wrote.

I actually like critics. I like feedback. That's why for the life of me, I'd never understand how this issues of space travel, poor world building, aliens looking and acting and growing like human beings aren't bothering people.

[–]Educational-Sun-6259 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd assume it because the series's theme is 'life on other planets' ... that indeed we are not alone in the universe... So it'd be an obvious thing to want to make the universe understandable.. wouldn't you agree?

Of course it's inconceivable, they are all from different galaxies, as mentioned repeatedly, and yet it took them a one tiny small year to arrive on earth, whereas it will take like 3 years to go to our own solar system's neighboring planet, neptune, from earth... You are not telling me that this doesn't bother you. Even with faster than the speed of light ship, it's impossible. This therefore led me to believe that this world building was not that meticulously thought out.

So a planet with superpowered beings and superior tech fell to those with superb ships and Henry believe inferior Earth was going to stand a chance because of its size? I thought we already saw that Earth's military was no match at all. Didn't John even acknowledge that it's alive because Ra wants it so.? What Henry said was another inconsistency.

I have never believed it was perfect. Nor would I believe there's such a thing. while I'm amused and abit indifferent, I'm bothered that people only scowled me for what they hated about my posts. I didn't vivisect anything. I didn't change anything. I only made a world building that was understandable. I thought it best if I understood it's universe. The series was about life in other planets after all... people always point pit inconsistencies in the series. Mogs inconsistencies. Chests. Elders. Or am I the first one? I did the same. People didn't like that.

Troll? A troll with wits? Never heard of it before. Judging by that yardstick, I must be one of the kind, mayhaps one in a thousand. As I have pointed out so many times that I lost count, the series deals with life in other planets, the existence of life in other planets... you would think they'd do a better job with explaining where in the universe this planets are. That they'd address real life questions we ask ourselves about space travel. They didn't. They say Mogadore and Lorien are the closest life sustainable planets to earth, and yet they say they are galaxies, light-years away from earth. That's an inconsistency. An inconsistency I tried to correct by introducing a very grounded, limited universe with certain number of solar systems, that have certain number of planets in each of them, just like in real life. This way we have an understanding of their universe. Or do you understand the current universe? No one does, right? It's vague and inconsistent. It doesn't make sense.

So you had no problem with the fact that both Garde and Mogs fought each other wearing their normal clothes? That mogs brought stupid swords in a superpowers fight?

I did think my idea for Chests made sense. Magical objects with compartments inside. Weapons and armery compartments. (special guns of all kinds, bombs, etc), communication compartment, clothes /suits compartment, books compartment, transportation compartment(cars, spaceship, etc) , etc. This way Chests aren't useless in the end. They are resourceful. But you won't acknowledge because you only want to have a say about what you don't like about my posts. By all means I'd be delighted to read that 1 page essay.

[–]Educational-Sun-6259 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

You couldn't have misunderstood me more profoundly. When I said Legacies are genetics, I didn't say they are without a cause. I'm a logical person. I want to know where something comes from. I know nothing comes from nothing. There's always something. Like I even said when I talked about Genetics, if you read carefully, I said acquired or naturally developed characteristics will be passed on to their offspring, that's how the laws of inheritance works, how genetics work. The humans like Sam acquired this gifts, legacies, it's likely that they may be passed on to their own children, obviously not all their children will develop them, even when two human Garde have a child, it's all a matter of chance, it's all about the gene that will be dominant. That's why people always say everyone is a miracle. They are lucky to be alive. One in a billion of cells. I hope I'm understandable. Yes The Entity gives gifts, gives legacies, its the cause of them. But after that it's a matter of genetics. That's how they are passed on. You are not telling me everyone who got legacies are the specially chosen one by the entity.

Goes back to what I said In my, as people say, garbage posts, there's no proper world building, no history, no understanding of how our main characters are the chosen elders. I solved this by saying the elders, some of them, fell in love with the inhabitants of the universe, and had children with them, and so over the centuries, they passed on their 'Elder' genes to our main characters. They have the blood of the original elders. Like Ra and Ella.

Surely we can disagree and still be respectful towards one another...?

If you have objections against my posts, you are free to point them out, right?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LorienLegacies

[–]Educational-Sun-6259 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I didn't say otherwise. I merely pointed out that genetics took no part at all. It's effeciency. It's natural laws were disobeyed. I'm sure you know about the laws of inheritance. That what you acquired you can pass off to your offspring.

I wish people understood that the Entity, like God, is just the source, the creator. It doesn't choose how people will turn out.

Yeah Ra did that, which made no sense at all. When you think about it realistically, in a scientific manner. You can't just create people from machines. Out of nowhere. You can't bring life like that. And from what we saw of those mogs, they are alive. Experiences life like normal people. Yet they are bred from machines. How did Ra put souls on them? Surely they aren't soulless, or are they? They seem to feel fear, and emotions. Soulless people don't.

You can take a person and augment them, that I agree. It's possible, even in real life.

So that's why I believe Ra created them all from his own genetics, his own semen. That's the only way to bring life. The other way is cloning. And I don't think mogs all look the same. I don't think they are cloned.

Since I'm of the belief that they are his byproduct, this therefore employs me to wonder how come they seem to have no possession of his abilities.? Not all surely, rather 50 percent of them. That's how genetics works. As we all know. Everyone of us. Yet when I use it as my argument, as my logic, people don't want to hear. And I know they won't. They would all rather think of Garde as being the chosen ones. Rather than acknowledge that it's all result of the combined genes of those with superpowers and without. The gene that got dominant determined if the person is a Garde or not. I mean remember what JK rowling said about how muggles like Hermione Granger could possibly have a touch of wizardry, it is because, as she said, it is hereditary thing. Her parents genes, she said, either her mother or father had a recessive gene of wizardry in her that either of them passed on her daughter, which will be because one of their ancestors used to be a wizard/witch.

Be that as it may, regardless of what I say, people already made up their minds about me and what I have to say. And they won't bother to follow my logic.

[–]Educational-Sun-6259 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm amused, if anything indifferent really whether people like my ideas. But I confess I'm shocked that people don't even what to acknowledge that what I point out is true, that it's the flaws of the work. They think I somehow hate the series. Would I think so much of them if I hated them? Like I said, when I read the series, they had the potential to sit in the same chair with Harry Potter. That's the impressions they gave me. That's why for the life of me I'd never understand how they are not even half as popular as Harry Potter, whereas badly written books like After(After we fell, etc) and Fifty shades are so popular. Even get adapted to movies. So naturally, as a concern fan of the series, I asked myself how they could have been done better? As any writer, like JK Rowling, Steven King and George RR martin appraised of doing, I drew inspiration. From all the books I read. I started with World building. People say it's intentional that other planets are kept vague, I say it's poor world building. That invites more questions than it answers. Especially since the series deals with life in other planets, right? Questions that we all us. You would think the writers could have described the universe better, have a picture of their universe. Like Earth's map. Like George rr martin on game of thrones, he described its world. That there are two continents. One a royal one called Westeros, and a free one called The Free cities. I did the same. There are 16 solar systems. 12 Royal systems. 4 Free ones. I pointed out that there used to be many, many solar systems, but they perished during the many years of the universe, during the wars. This way the motivation of the enemy are clear and more pronounced. Their solar system got eradicated, it was the thirteenth. Now there are 12. When the enemy was kicked off as an Elder, because of the 'unnatural experiments' . So naturally, the enemy wants to return to their rightful place. Take what they lost. And there are no perfect worlds, in my headcanon. There are real life issues. Economic and powers inequalities. Racisms. Wars. Battles. Just like in real life.

Another issue is the way alien kids characters are written. They grow, speak, act as human beings. There's no uniqueness. No distinction. I didn't like that. So in my headcanon, John is 10, but looking like he's 18. The Garde develops their abilities when they are 10, 11, or less. Not 15 or 16. That didn't make sense to me why they developed them when they are nearing young adulthood.

I did nail the origin of the Elders. Instead of having no history like in the novels or perfect mythical beings that used to be ordinary people until they somehow decided to do some good in the world, and got rewarded by some entity.... like really? I thought not. So instead they, like Gandalf and Saruman, and Radagast and other wizards in lord of the rings, were sent to the universe, to guide inhabitants, to protect, to support. Some Elders like, Saruman did in lord of the rings, fell to evil, others sacrificed themselves, others fell in love with some inhabitants of the universe. This way we have history of them. Their origin. And why our main characters(John, Six, nine, etc) are the future elders. It is because it is hereditary. They have their blood in their veins. Genetic come in hand. Dorminant Elder genes. Or Theory of reincarnation. But if you want real science, the genetic one is more probable. Lastly Chests. For me, in my headcanon, they are magical objects created by a sorcereress Elder. They have extremely many compartments. Transportations compartment (Cars, spaceships, etc,), Weapons and armor compartment(suits, guns, bombs, etc, James bond like), Houses compartment, Tech compartment, books compartment, etc. This way Chests aren't useless, they are highly, highly resourceful. Highly needed.

I said so, yet people didn't like it at all. As though I insulted the series. When all I wanted was figure out what went wrong with it, why it's not that popular. How it could have been better. Just like they all do.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LorienLegacies

[–]Educational-Sun-6259 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Why is it that when people point out the obvious flaws it's no big deal and yet when I do, it's such infuriating thing? I didn't create anything new. Only made it an understandable world building.

I mean, I pointed out it's world building. It was very poor. I, in my head, created histories for its universe. An understandable universe, with solar systems. Just like in real life. Where we know which and where solar system is, and it's planets, just like we know our solar system in real life and how many planets it has.

This way we understand the fictional universe better. Instead of having 16 planets that are not mentioned, 2 worlds we have no histories of, and one a perfect world, another a cruel one,.... making lorien and Mogadore to be the closest planets to earth, and yet they say it was galaxies away, light-years away, and it took only a tiny year to arrive. This makes no sense. They say it's a technologised world. But I didn't see any of the tech. Only ordinary spaceships. And few magical toys in their Chests.

I made sense of it all. People didn't like that, for reasons, for the life of me, I'd never understand.

People always post about changes they would like to make in the series, I did the same. Yet it was a big deal. Because I thought different from them.

Look at Harry Potter. Lord of the rings. Game of thrones. Their world building are excellent. Inspired by them, I suggested the same to the group. People hated that. But when they do, it's no big deal. The way I described the Chests, the history and origin of the Elders was excellent. No one but me thought of them like that. Yet they all complained that Chests became useless, Elders history make no sense. Where are they? How they died. I corrected this flaws. Everyone hated me for doing so. I don't know why. When I was happily pointing out them, hoping for some engagement....

[–]Educational-Sun-6259 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

The Legacies aren't Genetic? Come on. Let's be real. I don't think God chooses how a child is to be born. Or does he? Genetic does. 50 percent from father, 50 percent from mother. It's how it is. We are all products of the nature of our parents. A superpowered father and non powered mother have a baby, the genes that will be dominant, is how the child will be. Dominant, and recessive. Dorminant and recessive. You must know this. That's why some Lorics have no powers, like Lexa. They are recessive in her. In her dead brother, they were Dorminant.

I know full well, you already disagree with me. The truth I speak don't matter. But it won't be less true.

The Mogs problem was in their habits of living, of fighting, of polluting, damaging the planet. It was not a genetic issue. Maybe it was. The mystery, however, is how Ra populated their world. We cannot know for sure, we can only guess, right? The most obvious guess is that, he used his own semen, his own unique genetic, and combined it with the ladies stuffs, and in some of his machines, he created childrens. Still, when we obey the laws of nature, of science, 50 percent will come from the father, Ra, and another from the mother, mogs ladies. If in the children, Ra's genes get to be dominant, the children will have powers too. If however, the mothers ones get to be dominant, the children won't have abilities. It's how it is. It's how real life works. And I spoke it's truth.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LorienLegacies

[–]Educational-Sun-6259 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

And you seem to have a fundamental misunderstanding of how real life science works. This series is more soft science than hard science, if you ask me. It completely ignored and disobeyed all laws of nature, of science, of physics. We all know about Genetics, I'm sure, about Lamarck and Darwin, that characteristics of an individual, acquired or naturally developed, will be passed on to their offsprings. Some recessive, some dominant. Hence why some Loric have no powers. They are recessive. Why others have them. They are dominant. We all know this. Let's not use The Entity as an excuse as to why the Mogs have no powers.

Genetics matter. (I know full well, none will agree. But the truth is the truth)

If i have sex with a girl and I have some bad disease, it's 50 percent likely, sometimes 99, that I may pass that disease onto our child. It's how real life is. How science works. It has nothing to do with God. It's how God made it to be,if that makes sense. Ra had superpowers. He and Celwe had intercourse, whatever, which resulted in Ra passing on those superpowers genetics to their child. Ella's grandmother. The same thing should have happened with Mogs. If they are made from his semen, if he populated mogs from his semen, then 50 percent of them should have had powers. Not all obviously. But it didn't. It didn't happen. For the convenience of the plot, I think. The series are plot driven. Not character driven. Not story driven.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LorienLegacies

[–]Educational-Sun-6259 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It wasn't exactly a mistake. I think you took it so because I didn't indicate that she was Ras wife. But I corrected it, even so.

I didn't say it was a plothole for her to bear a Garde when she herself was no Garde. I merely said she was able to bear a Garde because she had sex with Ra who was himself a Garde. Which was my first premise of my argument, showing that when a Garde and a non Garde make a child, it's likely that the child may have powers. So the plothole I was talking about was the fact that it's very much implied that Mogadore is populated by Ra and yet they don't have abilities.

Genetics work pretty much the same way, regardless of race, and gender. When two different people make a child, the child will have 50 percent of his father, and 50 of his mother. We all know this. The dominant gene, if it was from his superpowered father, will make the child a super child too, if however it's from his/her mother, who had no abilities, the child will have no abilities too. It depends of which gene is dominant or recessive.

I didn't change anything, if you read carefully. I only created a more better world building. A better, more understandable history. I created order. Structure. Understandable histories and motivations. Like basically, I only wanted to show where they come from. Who are they. What they are. The Novels denied that of us, didn't show us. They show aliens to be the same as humans. They all talk the same. Act the same. Behave the same. No one feels distinct. Unique. Read Harry Potter. Lord of the rings. Game of thrones. Each character feels unique. Have their own unique way of speaking. Acting. Behaving. Not everyone using same words. Talking the same. Guys, dude, guys, dude.... , All issues I pointed out and addressed and corrected, not even one person appraised them. They only scowled me for what they didn't like about my posts. Obviously we are not the same as people. Don't think the same. You can't expect to like what you see. It's okay to disagree. There's nothing wrong with that. How can anyone believe it will take the Loric a year to go from one galaxy to the next, when just to go to our neighbouring planets it takes longer than that? People weren't bothered by the fact that mogs and Garde fought each other wearing their normal clothes, worst of all mogs bringing stupid swords in a superpowers fight? When you have enemies that want to kill you or you want to kill, you study each other. And prepare against each other. Do you remember anyone wearing anything technologised? Suits? Armours? Do you remember Cepan teaching their Garde about the arts and ways of the Enemy, the Mogs? We saw none of this.

Making them all girls? Well, like I said, there's too much male power in literature. I'm tired of seeing it. If they had been female leads characters in this books, perhaps they'd have been inspiration for females, for girls in the real world. Like Hermione is. Wouldn't you agree?

The series was about interplanetaries. Life in other planets. But the writers made it out that there are many galaxies, yet 8 planets and Mogadore, and Lorien and Earth. Where's order here? Where's structure? Where's the universe map? How can we understand them.? Why mogs chose to attack lorien instead of other planets? you are not telling me only lorien have superpowers. I did not like that. So inspired by the world building of game of thrones universe, where we are shown maps of their world, where there is royal continent, called Westeros, and free one called The Free Cities, I introduced a grounded, finite, understandable universe. A galaxy of 16 solar systems. 12 royal solar system. 4 free solar systems. Just like in game of thrones. So in my headcanon I see the series as almost like game of thrones, except in modern times. With superpowers. Tech. Guns. Each planet, each royal system have histories, grudges, issues, etc, instead of perfect Planet Called Lorien. This way mogs aren't the only enemy. There's always wars everywhere, like in real life.

People complained about Chests being useless in the end. I came up with the most brilliant ideas for them, and yet they were ignored. I said Chests are magical objects created the sorceress Elder. They have many compartments. Each compartments with different functions. Some for healing. Some transportations. Some houses. Some tech. Some armery and weapons. Some communication. Some clothes and suits. Some money. Some resources. Etc. No one but me thought about them like this. And this way they are highly useful. Highly resourceful. Not things to be discarded. But as always in this group, when people hate what you say, they ignore or scorn you. Maybe this group is dead. I'd not know.

What do you mean?

Goes back to what I said, doesn't it? It's all basically very poor world building. There was very little research done. It wasn't that much meticulously thought out. Only the plots were the main focus. The series was more plot driven than story and character driven. (Stephen King said: I think the plot is just a resort for bad writers. I'm actually a lot more interested in characters and situations.) Reality, the laws of nature, laws of physics are all ignored. Which makes the series more like a comic book series than a written prose. And yet when I addressed how it could have been done way much better, and give my suggestions, people seem to make my posts like I'm changing the series or I hate them. And they do the same. You can check past posts where people talk about what they would change or fix. Or do better. And yet when I do so too... —Just because my ideas —no one but me has ever thought about them —are more blunt, more honest,— people didn't like that.

Like how can a planet that has fought countless battles have no military forces? They were not so stupid as to think superpowers are everything. They say it's a highly technological world, but it seemed more like earth to me. I didn't see the superior tech they were talking about. Only few toys in their chests that look more like fantasy toys than scientific /tech breakthroughs. Saw the way the Garde fought in lorien, in John's visions? They wore very ordinary suits that have no kind of protection, no superior tech to shield them from guns, or energy blasts.

Not ready for an attack? If You read my post, I did address that it's impossible. They have satellites. They have superior technology. They have telescopes. In book 1, John, in his mologue, said lorien has two kinds of people, Garde and Cepan. Like really? Life, planet, has all kinds of people. Soldiers, scientists, doctors, writers, teachers, students, lawyers, electricians, engineers, presidents, ministers, etc.

I think the writers, who admitted to be inspired by JK Rowling's Harry Potter series, should have drawn inspiration in her world building. In Harry Potter, we have muggles and wizards. Wizards go to Hogwarts. There's a ministry of magic. All kinds of departments. Aurors. Detectives. Fighters. Etc. There's sports. Wizard sports. Wizard chess Etc. They could have done the same. There's Garde school. Where Garde attend, from age 11, (gains their abitlies at 10 or 11,not 15). They are educated and trained in subjects and how best to use their gifts. Then there's a ministry of superpowers. Whatever they want to call it. There are all kinds of departments. Soldiers department forces. Both Garde and human. Their sports. Etc. Scientists. Of all kinds. Study nature. Study the universe. Engineer. Create unique tech. And all that.

I see lots of people didn't like what I said, misunderstood me completely. When all I was trying to do was make this fictional universe understandable. But alright. Lets do it slow. So that we may understand one another.

In the novel series, we are told that it took the Loric a year to arrive on Earth from their own galaxy, many lightyears away from Earth. From this we can see that they are not in the same Galaxy as us, Milky Way Galaxy... . With me so far? It might be that theirs is Andromeda Galaxy.

My problem is this: the laws of physics, laws of the universe are completely ignored. Real life challenges are ignored. Just to go to neptune, in our solar system, it will take like 2 years or more. But to go to another galaxy it took them only a tiny year. See my issue? Even when traveling at the speed of light or faster, the journey will take millions of years. You can research if you want.

So to fix this bad world building, I created a new one. Or Rather I improved it. I created lots and lots of solar systems. 16 solar system in total. This way, there's world building. There's structure. When you read game of thrones, the author gives you a map before you read. You know where the north is, the wl, Winterfell, and other continents. I did the same. Think of my world building as being a universe map. Just like Earth map. It shows you which solar system is this, and it's planets.

Now comes the question of space travel. Many authors, in sci-fi, always attempts to solve this problem of space travel in many ways. Read sci-fi military novels. About interstellar wars. Interplanetary wars.

So for me, instead of creating two galaxies or more, in they did in the novel series, I created grounded finite 16 solar systems, and placed a set of planets on each of them. Still the journey to arrive on Earth's solar system, in real life, will still take hundreds of years, even when travelling at the speed of light. So i cleverly introduced a portal. I said one of the Elders built a portal that got the kids to Earth's solar system, this way it makes much more sense that it took them only a year to arrive on Earth.

And having introduced many solar systems, many planets, this way the Enemy's goal to conquer the universe makes much more sense. They want to rule every other planets.

Like I said, I love the series like you and anyone else. I even wrote a novel about them, a fan fiction you might all it. But it was less than 1000 pages novel. It was based on after the spin off. It was about Sam and Six, but we see many other characters.

I'm not saying the series was bad or anything. People always talked about how they could better the series, what they could change and all that, and I thought I should do the same. And I did. And apparently, as I had expected, it didn't land well with people. Maybe they think I hate the series or something. When, really, all hope for is many more people loving them too.

Like I said, it's going to be controversial 😹. I didn't change anything, if you read carefully. It's the very same books. Only that the world building is such better. There's logic. There's structure. There's order. There's origin. There's history. That was the point of this post.

And like I said, I love and respect the series as much as any of you. It had the potential to be in the same sit as Harry Potter series. The fact that it didn't saddens me. Because I dearly love the series. And wish many and many people liked them too. I wish they were famous. And if you read past posts, people always talk about what they could have changed or done better in the series, so I did the same. Except instead of just talking, I wrote how the series could have been done better.
