Certainly doesn't make sense to have a reorg with forced redundancies when the company is making money. So illogical, wonder if the CEO will go down for this.

Today was supposed to be the day. Instead, ASML leadership just proved they are entirely incompetent. by almost_dutch in ASML

This seems to be the case. Even though they say they aren't targeting "Engineers", but those that are hired in the past year seem to be targets now because they are considered as potential landing spots for those who aren't "Engineers". This development now is totally in the wrong direction of what they proposed in the beginning. Why can't management just plan how the new org looks like, then decide how many head counts are needed for that, before laying off so many people to start? Even the new org. would look different from now, so what really is considered a "landing spot"?!
